    Divide your price by the miles traveled and get an idea how much you are paying per mile. Then think about the pilot, steward, maintenance, fuel, rent of the terminal, cleaning, insurance, and the tower and FAA charges

    Skyscanner is usually my starting point when searching flights. I then narrow my search with kayak and then ultimately book direct.
