5ATM= 5 atmospheres refers to a pressure measurement. It means 5 times the standard atmospheric pressure at sea level. This is equivalent to 73.48 psi or a depth of 170 feet when diving in fresh water. It’s also used to rate the water resistance of watches, where 5 ATM indicates the watch can withstand pressures equivalent to a depth of 50 meters.

4:39 Amazon sells little silicone covers that you can cover the charging port on Garmin watches. Keeps the charging port clean and keeps sweat and other liquids from entering. Yes these are not 100% waterproof but they really help prevent ingress into the port.

A toothpick is softer than a thumbtack and can still help in those tight spots without scratching your watch!

Why wear it in the shower? Are you exercising there? Your skin under the watch needs to be cleaned, too…

How many times do I and many people have to tell you 5 ATM is a complete lie and a gimmick Smart watches are not waterproof never ever ever dunk your watch in soapy water, warm water, pool water and or seawater it is not waterproof it damages the watch that you do not realise the rubber gasket melts and deteriorates over time I have gone through so many I mean so many smart watches never do this The only way to really sort of clean a smartwatch is using dry microfiber cloths and dry cotton swabs and that’s it no cleaning solutions or liquids at all

IP rating analogy from Jagat Review: it just like graduated paper that you get when you finish high school. Does it mean in a few years later you still can remember all the teaching at high school? No. But does it mean your graduated paper invalid? No. So IP rating is real and good when it just out from factory. But after a few years and more you have to be more careful. It can wear off.
I have Huawei Band 6 with broken botton. Everytime I take a bat (twice a day), I also add water to the HB6 including the band and use my hand to wipe it. But the same part also the most dirty, the one that the band meat the watch.

OR just take it to your shower session and let shampoo and soap do its job. Unless it’s not washed for a year you basically only need some running water.
