The root cause of that apparent apathy to a significant extent is the effective disenfranchisement that eligible voters in the U.S. experience, both in terms of the voting process itself and in terms of what kind of outcome to expect from a system that’s highly tied in to big money. At the very least, the influence of diminished expectations could be dampened by replacing the antiquated first-past-the-post system with some form of instant runoff voting.

Before you worry about how you invest, consider how you BUY (you are a signal to the markets) and BEHAVE (you are a signal to the markets). If you drive a gas car, that’s a bigger message than investing in some EV company.

My portfolio is very much diversified. I did it using copy trading system from a US regulated broker ” Adviser NICK DRANCHAK ” it’s been a huge relief. Good earnings and little to no engagement at all on my part. His stock picks are outstanding. I can tell you he’s quite the genius in trading and portfolio diversification.

Take a look around — there’s cars that run on gas
and EVs that are charged by a coal powered grid. When I look around everything is still fueled by coal and gas..
I also still see no solution to the mass mining of materials in safe conditions or disposal of solar panels, wind mill arms or electric vehicle batteries.

I believe this to be key for the environment, the USA should be leading the way in this, as it was in years past!
