    What’s the accuracy rate for forensic entomology? I’m going to guess not that great. A lot of innocent people in jail based on fascinating but ultimately imprecise and impossible “science”. Don’t be fooled!

    In my high school criminal justice class, we had to do this. We placed raw chicken in different types of environments, and recorded what happened to them over the course of a couple of weeks. We had to learn about the different insects, as well as their life cycles. I miss that class lol. The teacher always had us doing cool things.

    This story ignores that police and presecutos don’t usually care if tne guilty person goes to prison. Only that they look good. This woman is passionate, but the system hires people like this just so it looks like they care about justice.

      the bacteria in your gut or in your body in general will eat you, even without insects.
      the enzymes and chemicals will break down the tissues, etc.
