Rethinking how the world works is powerful, but also uncomfortable, because the system is designed to make us feel safe following “the right path.” The truth is, those paths often only serve the elites who built them. I learned that when I pushed myself into a career that drained me instead of fulfilling me. Reading Your Mind Was A Target by Dr. Tessa Voss helped me realize that stepping off the scripted path is the first real act of freedom.
