That is so cool how there’s a time difference. I have a question it’s a rather stupid one but how we do we know it for sure? I’m curious. It just blows my mind anytime I learn something about outer space.

As far as I understand it here’s how it goes:

Basically, they’ve done a lot of mathematical equations based off of things we already know to be true about the universe and this is the conclusion they’ve come to. However, it’s only their best theory and they don’t know it for absolute certain. The only way to know it for certain is to test their theory which we don’t have a way of doing quite yet.

They can measure the difference between clocks that went to space and came back too. And it’s accurate based on the equations

that would mean that looking back at the outside you would see the universe accelerate and you could watch the end of the universe in fast forward before you reach the center.

Making money is an action. Keeping money is behavior, but “growing money is wisdom”. I found this out a week ago after getting a $10,000 return on my $3,000 investment in 7

  20. This Old School

    September 27, 2023 at 8:12 pm

🤨The center? Black holes aren’t “holes” though .
If they are, what’s at the end of one?🤔

    • ME

      September 27, 2023 at 8:48 pm

The center would be the singularity itself which is infinitely small, because it is infinitely small and infinitely dense if you visualize space time as a grid it would essentially stretch a hole in space time, just an infinitely small one. Don’t think about it as a hole in the ground like a well that has a bottom. Think about it as a really compressed dot, there is no end just infinite compression of everything in it.

  21. Annie Yue

    September 27, 2023 at 8:15 pm

I heard so much about “The Black Hole”. Just cannot imagine what it is!

    • ME

      September 27, 2023 at 8:42 pm

That’s the thing: no one really can. It’s called a black hole because beyond the event horizon light cant escape so it looks like a black sphere in space with light moving in strange ways around it. As for the actual singularity itself it can’t really be visualized, it’s an infinitely small point in space. The “size” of a black hole usually refers to its mass and size of the event horizon because more mass means a larger gravitational pull and a larger point at which light can’t escape.

  22. Super_Seaton

    September 27, 2023 at 8:44 pm

This stuff is interesting but is completely useless information.

    • ME

      September 27, 2023 at 8:52 pm

This isn’t useless information, it’s essentially our current understanding of Einstein’s theory of relativity which can still be expanded upon and proven. There’s a lot we don’t know about how the universe works. For example we’ve used this knowledge already to create quantum computers, computing is one of the biggest parts of humanity’s future.

    • Super_Seaton

      September 27, 2023 at 9:05 pm

@ME We will never fully understand how the universe works. If somehow studying black holes helps humanity then so be it but there are many, many problems that have not been solved on earth that have existed forever and we have people focusing on theories and what ifs.

  23. X

    September 27, 2023 at 9:12 pm

How do we even figure stuff like this out? Like some guy saw an apple fall and then 400 years later we’re talking about people experiencing time in an unimaginable way lol

  24. Jordan B

    September 27, 2023 at 10:09 pm

But this is only “IF” time stops. I wonder what really happens

  25. Dari Bluestar

    September 27, 2023 at 11:34 pm

As an adult, I’ve come to realize that what takes place in space is just a figment of human imagination.

  26. Eduard Ostapenko

    September 28, 2023 at 4:23 am

if you were wearing a blue spacesuit, someone with teleskope will see you slowly turning red, because light’s waves will get longer.

and if hole’s gravity will have unstable stucture you’ll look like having a gradient.

  27. Asdfssdfghgdfy

  29. toadlguy

    September 28, 2023 at 7:18 am

So, given that, does someone (something) falling into a black hole Never actually reach it? Do black holes, therefore, not really exist? They are just potential black holes.

  32. MR2

    September 28, 2023 at 8:55 am

This applies only in small stellar-mass black holes, because they are small. But on the biggest supermassive black holes it could take multiple lifetimes of falling to arrive at the singularity at the center.

Same for spaghettification. It only happens on small blacks holes, not on supermassive black holes.

Seems kind of paradoxical because if time stops then how could you ever get out without the time to do so? And it seems like if that is the case then my instinct tells me that you shouldn’t be able to get into it either.

  58. Robert Von Darth

    October 2, 2023 at 7:51 am

Thus is also likely true at the Big Bang..
The beginning of the universe is temporally asymptotic, a beginning is meaningless as it is a time infinity.
