Anyone phrasing it as a political ‘career’ should not be in politics. You should do it for values, not because it pays well.

A career is dedication and should be paid well.

Strongly disagree. When a job is paid well it will attract people that wants to be paid well. We should be aware of who we attract to politics. Who we allow to shape societal values. Sociopaths are overrepresented among CEOs because they are attracted to status and power, I can only guess how politics compare. We should have politicians that goes into politics, purely because they believe in their ideals strongly enough to do so, not because of ANY other reason.

@@RoskildeJonas In most places politicians really don’t get paid all that much. Compared to the average joe, sure, but not when compared to careers the same people could have had in business. You also don’t want politicians to be paid too little, because a) you want competent and qualified people in politics, and b) you don’t want them to be easily corruptible.

Though what happened to her was wrong and more so sad, she is right, I do not trust politicians. She mentions Nancy and Biden (and even our current Pope). I think we know where her political leanings are. Democracy in America is a sham. I am neither Republican nor Democratic. Deep Fakes could be used to start wars, which would be very bad. However, I also don’t trust politicians to regulate fairly. The Feds will go on to misuse the technology and justify it as “protecting democracy.” Regulations also tend to make it so large companies remain and smaller companies cannot compete nor can smaller ones afford to comply financially with massive regulations and fines.

She said nothing about when it happened or what she had to do to counter it

*_NEVER_* explained how it cost her votes, or *_GAINED_* her votes out of sympathy, all she did was wander around the point aimlessly before getting to what she *_REALLY_* wants: More *_INFRINGEMENTS_* upon free speech

Citing clearly parody videos of *_AMERICAN_* politicians – Nancy Pelosi who is a *_KNOWN_* alcoholic and Joe Biden who *_HAS_* used profanity *_FREQUENTLY_* on “hot mics” – as an excuse to demand more censorship is *_OBSCENE_*

A person can only be “fooled” by doctored imagery, regardless of source, if they *_ALLOW_* themselves to be by being swayed by confirmation bias and not exercising proper scrutiny

I do not believe a word she says when lying is so *_PROFITABLE_* with *_NO_* consequences, we have *_ZERO OBLIGATION_* to extend “Benefit of Doubt” to *_KNOWN_* liars like politicians and activists
