If you have a chance to see an orchestra go see it. And every time you watch a movie you will understand how much it involves that little stick

I am always amazed by people who have mastered a subject I have no interest in learning. Thank God for musicians that way I don’t have to learn (or listen to) music.

  49. @petermanuel5043

He’s super audience aware. He’s sharing a conductor’s mindset with the audience and band at the same time as producing the music. It’s lovely.

  50. @jaffacakehero1143

    June 27, 2026 at 6:41 pm

I hate to be the annoying idiot. But this is really easy. Music theory teaches you what sounds beautiful. Chords and harmonies are mathematical. There are millions of people that can do exactly what he can do but they don’t get recognition. I would say he is talented out of respect, but what he did in the video I could do (I’m not that bright, I’m autistic but dumb)
I think he thinks he is on level with da Vinci

He is really lovely so I don’t want to insult him. I just know what he is doing is used every day by unseen artists.
What he is doing is beautiful and entertaining so I guess that’s all that matters. He certainly had the showmanship and the look.

  52. @angelitaramos5751

    June 27, 2026 at 6:58 pm

Beautiful!!!! Everything that of all of us need is love… Jesus told so… Lennon just put it on a song…

  53. @Milo9

    June 27, 2026 at 6:59 pm

But it’s not his song. He’s just telling the orchestra to play notes that he already knows make the song?

  54. @marahson

    June 27, 2026 at 7:16 pm

I immediately thought this was a Coldplay song, music is literally the key to everything, from birthing babies to saying farewell to our loved ones who passed, also, have to appreciate the audience not having phones up in the air!

  55. @emma_keyz

    June 27, 2026 at 7:23 pm

Digital ethnomusicologist and TED Fellow Kyra Gaunt studies how Black girls can preserve the integrity of their own voices while listening, dancing and singing to pop songs largely engineered by men, often with lyrics that express anti-Black, patriarchal sentiments. In a quick, incisive talk, she shows how Black girls can disrupt the stereotypes and stigmas buried within this music and chart their own revolution in sound.
