Any little bit where an actor or actress does something minor to stay true to a role shows dedication to said role, and generally means they have a deeper understanding of said character.

@Foggy The Hippo As you can see by how she’s speaking, she basically hated using the contacts, which might have harmed her ability to act at 100% on her scenes, also eye color isn’t something important to this character in particular, like maybe Hawkeye being almost deaf and things like that, they’re not on the same level of importance.

@Smileyr I like Henry but he isn’t really that good as Superman, mainly bc he can’t act natural when he’s doing the american accent, it feels artificial.
Also he’s seems to be balding quite a lot after MoS.

@Maxi Iroh but that’s the point. I mean they could of easily put on a British accent no one would really care too much. But it’s the effort and thought of putting on an American accent and the attention detail to the character of Superman regardless how his performance was. It’s the dedication to the craft.

Yeah I think it’s great to try like how Rosario Dawson wore blue contacts to keep the continuity of Ahsoka Tano having blue eyes, but if the actors are very uncomfortable with it then I think it’s fine not to do it. It’s more important when that character has already been seen in canon with that eye color. I don’t think it really matters if you’re adapting the character in live action for the first time. For example, Tobey Maguire has blue eyes and Andrew and Tom both have brown eyes, no one really cares about that.

For someone who probably never used contacts before, first starting to use them will always be annoying. The people who need then and manage them get used to it after such long time. Funny thing is anyone who actually used contacts would agree.

When it comes to comic book accuracy, i could care less about eye color because of how little you notice it and how much of a pain it is to change it on the performer. The thing i care for most is hair color because of how significant it is and how easily it can be charged. Aftet that is hair style and body type. Skin color is weird. Sometimes it matters more, sometimes it matters less, and i obviously dont want them to change the actors skin tone much beyond some light make up and tanning.
