Every time a new phone comes out, these content creators trash the old phone. This is getting ridiculous. Tell us that you’re a paid shill without telling us!

The pixel devices have had some of the best cameras on the market. This is accurate. I used to have a pixel. I currently have a zfold. I highly prefer my pixel camera.

While I would usually agree, the Pixel series has always been known to have excellent cameras (usually always regarded as one of the, if not THE, best cameras in the industry). Outside of Samsung’s Ultra series, their cameras in their other phones have always been considered good, but not the best. Their recently released mid-tier phones (A54) apparently has comparable cameras to their S23 and S23 Plus… which means it’s probably comparable to the Fold 4’s. So yeah, I could see why the Pixel would win this camera war. Rumor has it that the Fold 5 will use the same cameras… wish they would at least upgrade to the S22 Ultra’s 108 MP camera (if not the Ultra’s 200 MP lenses)… oh well. Maybe next year…

Who cares? No one buys those for the cameras

As a z fold user who would love the outer display of the pixel, I will stick with my fold 4 but keep an eye out for when the Pixel Fold matures.

I didn’t buy a folding phone for taking ridiculous pictures. The pixel fold software sucks.

    • TheMadmax0609

      July 1, 2023 at 12:20 pm

Pixel software is like buying a car with no options. I like the UI Samsung puts overstock Android… Makes the phone much more usable.

@TheMadmax0609  this is why I’m happy with my Fold 4.

Its an interesting concept, my co-worker has the Z Fold 3 and I asked him how he’s liking it. He said he likely gonna switch back to a candy bar Samsung Galaxy in the future because he is rarely using the inside display.

    • Nick Williams

      July 1, 2023 at 1:31 pm

I personally use the fold out very often. It makes the device worth it. But if you never open it them sure its wasted.

    • CityChristina

      July 1, 2023 at 6:21 pm

Smart guy. Those foldables are dumb and insanely overpriced.

    • OW

      July 1, 2023 at 7:14 pm

Yep traded in my Z Fold 3 for an S22+ and eventually just a plain S23U. People will convince themselves that they will use the inner display but once you open your phone (which is a pain in the butt) you literally need to sit by a charger because you can kiss your battery good bye.

    • Nick Williams

      July 1, 2023 at 7:27 pm

Say what you want. Battery has been fine. I like it a lot. Use it everyday opened up. Browsing and playing games is a game changer.
Hate it if you will, but the experience is great if you use it.

I don’t know how opening it is a pain. It takes less than a second. I’ve had mine for almost 2 years, with no issues.

    I like samsung’s z fold 4 5g.

  9. Lord Commander

    July 1, 2023 at 12:13 pm

Outside of a fold owner no one knows the difference between a fold 1-4. When I pulled out my fold 2 at church last Sunday, so many people were asking me about it. Samsung has done enough by making the fold a conversation piece for next five years. Foldables are Bugattis in the phone world….not everyone has one or could afford one.

As an almost 2 year owner of a zf3 my biggest complaint with this phone is the cameras. They are absolutely terrible and comparable to cameras about 5 years ago on flagship samsung phones. I’m really hoping for some better camera performance on the zf5 when it releases.

😂 so far this is a joke. Patrick Holland is now a professional phone photographer. Why are people acting like software doesn’t help with the outcome of taking a picture. Let me see how this nonsense ends. The beginning is 😂😂😂😂. Weird Patrick.

Mr. Mobile used to be one of the unbiased ones. But with Puxel Fold’s review he lost all credibility he had. As you said, it seems the US YouTubers are just hyping this device despite too many issues.

  15. carlitos05

    July 1, 2023 at 2:17 pm

Pixels have had better cameras than Samsung overall. Saying this, that may be the only positive on the Pixel fold, Samsung’s UI and how it handles multitasking is light years ahead. Google needs to catch up fast!

  16. arvandvarahram

    July 1, 2023 at 3:26 pm

You don’t remember whether Fold 4’s food mode kicked in, but still continue to compare the photos instead of taking a new one? You also compare 20x zoom against 30x zoom and say 30x zoom would look worse (what a surprise), followed by praising the super res zoom as a combination of hardware, software and AI, which is exactly what Samsung has been doing since thry introduced the 100x space zoom. The bias is just too obvious.

  17. Theprofessor

Wow the difference in the cat photo was insane. That’s like going from Sony rx100 to rx1.

Most of these reviewers use favorable language when regarding the pixel fold, which was mostly finished for production in 2020. They delayed it, obviously. Google is the crown jewel in Silicon Valley so I understand using caution when criticizing theirs products. However the Fold 4 is superior in ways, instead of highlighting innovation such as a competitve under display camera, you simply point out the 4mp vs 8mp. Another example is all the reviewers leave the fold 4 in portrait (unfolded) when sidebyside with the Pixel fold giving the impression its better for media consuption. When in reality the samsung has a truly uninterrupted, SMALLER BEZEL display. It’s seems disingenuous is all I’m saying.

where you got biased When you went to the 30 time zoom for z-fold and 20 time zoom for Pixel automatically the 30’s going to look more distorted why wouldn’t you do 20 for both you’re probably being paid to promote Pixel🤔💩😢💯‼️

Video comparation is not just about the color, why did you just compare the color on video test? What a joke!! Z Fold 4 just way better on stabilization, smoothness, switch among the lens. And you just don’t mention it is just a silly.

I love my Z3 but always wished the cover screen was a little bigger. Samsung got everything right except for that.

$1899 for the 512 gb which is the minimum storage I would agree to purchase.

  28. Gamer85

Really bizarre way of starting the review, spending so much time talking about the cameras.

These reviewers are obsessed with cameras. People aren’t buying foldable phones for the best camera. Surely the review should be more focused on the 2 screen, and durability etc.

    Very odd!

Has anyone else noticed how blurry faces are in the main cameras from Pixel phones? It looks horrible. Everything else is great about the pixel camera.

When an $1800 phone cant play Fortnite for more than 15 minutes without crashing due to overheating but the Galaxy Z Fold 4 can run same game without getting warm it shows overall the power, thermals and battery efficiency are way behind the Z Fold series. The huge bezels and half-baked software give Android Honeycomb vibes.

If you ever hold a Huawei Mate X3 or the brand new Magic V2 these foldables from Samsung and Google become a joke. Both Huawei and Honor are generations ahead in the foldable market. Camera, display, weight, thickness everything basically

  36. Terrance Cloverfield

The answer is obvious. You can get a ZFold 4 for around $1000 now. It is $1800 for the Pixel Fold for what is 99% similarity in specs by comparison. Is the aspect ratio worth it?
