The google interface is so bad, especially in phones. Maybe its the thought of making it look simple and light but they have gone completely bonkers. It appears and feels harder to use not easier.

      Actually I don’t agree.
Imo the interface is simple very esthetic and playful what make it nice to use for me.
      But that’s only for me.

I don’t understand what you’re saying… when’s the last time you used a google phone? they are the complete opposite of your statement. Might help if you point out some specifics.

They have 14 teams that do 14 different UX designs. Just their web apps are so inconsistent when it comes to the simplest of settings.

Pixels have currently like THE simplest most streamlined UI. No Samsung’s quirks and features hidden everywhere, no unnecessary moving around to get to certain places like on Xiaomi and iPhone.

      It’s clean

Unfortunately not all apps from Google but this might change after moving these under one giant pixel department recently

I will say when it does experience a problem, Gemini helps to identify and self correct much faster than waiting for a collection of users to experience the same issue before issuing a patch.

    • @rapidrabbit11485

      May 14, 2024 at 4:27 pm

@@361vr9 That’s an interesting take on Apple, a company that currently has the worlds fastest consumer processor, that’s beating Intel and AMD, and doing it with 20 hours of battery life. Then taking that exact same chip, and throwing it into the thinnest tablet on the market. Maybe their iPhone lineup hasn’t been as innovative as you would like, but their cameras and screens are still the best you can buy, and their processors are still crushing it in multi-core benchmarks.

Chromebook and ChromeOS’ road to power up like Dragon Ball’s Saiyans!

    ⭐(Saiyan)
Chromebooks, easily split screen into 2 and fill each side with browser tabs, android apps, PWAs, linux apps, and more.

    ⭐⭐(Super Saiyan)
Foldable Chromebooks. there should be foldable chromebooks with a 17.3 inch Foldable OLED (FOLED) touchscreen that folds down instantly to a compact 12.5 inch size. ChromeOS to provide more split screen options on foldable chromebooks. in 12.5 inch compact size, splits screen like normal chromebooks, while in 17.3 inch expanded size, more splits options provided like splitting as 3 with one half of the screen further splits vertically into 2.

    ⭐⭐⭐(Super Saiyan Blue)
Chromebox of ChromeOS mini PC connected to an ultra wide display. on a 27 inch wide display, ChromeOS can split screen into 2 to as much as 6 sections, for simultaneously opening chrome browser tabs, YouTube PWA, android MetaMask wallet and dapp, linux app VLC media player, Steam (Borealis) gameplay.

    ⭐⭐⭐⭐(Ultra Instinct)
Future google immersive headset, which works closely with ChromeOS of Chromebook/Chromebox. for those wearing the immersive headset, they can see dozens more screens from the ChromeOS of their Chromebook/Chromebox right in front of their eyes.

Gemini is very good and popular AI. This is why google chrome market share is skyrocketing, and becoming popular because of Gemini AI. Google chrome and Gemini will be the nail in coffin to crappy edge and Copidiot. Soon, crappy edge and Bing including Copidiot will become history.

Using Gemeni is not a tool at all. If you are a PC user, you can only use it by first going to the website, and you can ask it questions, but summarizing a webpage or rewriting something is a disaster. It can’t summarize page info or rewrite a piece of text in ways you didn’t ask for. There is zero Google Chrome integration; the browser has no AI features, so it isn’t simple to use unless you go to the Gemeni website. Only the latest Pixel has AI features like text writing and summarizing info.

It’s sad to see that Google is neglecting desktop users. That is why I switched to Edge, which can do so much more and has Copilot integrated, or you can select text and let it rewrite for you.
