Can you let us know how the sensor accuracy compares to the previous iterations? Samsung has had notoriously poor sleep and fitness tracking. Hoping that improves with this iteration. Thanks!

The most important question for me is does it have the Health Dashboard+ face? That’s the only one I use in the 4 classic and this would be a deal breaker for me if it doesn’t have it.

Does it over heat? My Galaxy 4 overheats if i use for a phone call or powershare.

@R Days Not OP but powershare is an extremely ineficient tech that is in its infancy and it will always overheat. Can’t say anything about calls though.

Late to the party, but can you confirm that notifications will only register if on the wearer’s wrist? Samsung has omitted a setting allowing push notifications even when off the wrist since the Watch 4 and I’d like to know if this is the same for the Watch 5 Pro. Thanks.

I haven’t changed watch since the original Galaxy Watch which it has 472mAh that’s the reason I haven’t switched but after they announced this Watch Pro with more battery, I’m really interested i just ordered mine, will be a nice change and a lot of new features since the old one.

Was super fed up with Samsung’s customer care service, they promise something and changed it to something else. I still like the products though, cancelled the order and for now sticking to my flip3+watch 4 classic combo.

Just hope the people that want the rotating bezel will hold off buying the 5 pro so maybe samsung with make a classic version. I need to stop watching these watch 5 pro videos because it just makes me sad they drop the bezel. And if anybody has the LTE version be careful if you have to send it into samsung for repair. Had to do that with mine and two weeks after I sent it in I got a notification late on a Saturday night it was connected to my phone. When I contacted samsung about why somebody was using my watch they claimed they had not received it even after I showed them tracking said they had. Then oddly enough they said they got it the next day and it was shipped back to me that same day.

I had the S3 and the watch 4 and will never get a samsung watch again. The watch 4 rarely showed the time when I raised my wrist, constantly lost connection to my Samsung phone and just made random noises every once in a while. 2 weeks ago my 12 month old Samsung phone died and I moved to Apple – the design of the Samsung is better but the Apple watch 7 beats it in every other area. Samsung tech is cheaply made. Buy cheap, buy twice.

I’m frustrated by the decision to only offer the pro in the large size – it seems the assumption is still pretty gender biased! As a woman with moderately small wrists, how would you feel about that size longterm? Does it get in the way/ caught or anything like that?

It is gender biased! The rose pink one only comes in a smaller size. I’m a girl with big wrists so I can’t buy pink.

Lets be honest the removal of the movable bezel is bad really really bad. Its not like people didn’t like it, a lot did. One of the biggest advantage it had was it also protected the edges of the screen so less likely the screen will crack.

Can you use the included charger (USB C) to charge a watch 4/classic faster ? Does it come with a wall plug? Or do I need to buy one? All my plugs only have USB A female to accept USB A cables

Not really a fan of the watches with the rotating bezel..I had the gear S2 classic and gear s3 frontier with rotating bezel and it was ok but not a deal beaker..but so far I had the gearS2 Classic gear S3 Frontier galaxy active 2, galaxy watch 3 and 4…now looking forward to the Pro 5

the rotating bezel was the difference in all watches and looks like a real watch no like a toy watch so for me is a bad idea

As I learned from the watch 4, the sensors and apps tired to the sensors don’t matter if they aren’t accurate. I am doubtful there is any improvement so I’ll be looking for any competition that is accurate than the watch 5.

I pre-ordered the 5 Pro. I just really like the look of the grey titanium. I personally don’t miss the rotating bezel. For some reason mine really seemed laggy and not smooth at all. I also got a 340.00 discount from 449.00 to 109.00 with bundle price eth the flip.

Not the review I was looking for. I wanted to see how it works on tracking workouts and exercise activities. Sure don’t want to spend $500 and realize it can’t track fitness activities like my Garmin does. Ugh.

Mmm I’ve got a screen protector on my watch 4 Pro 44mm and honestly the ring around it is full of scratches from accidentally bumping it everywhere! But I really hate the battery on watch 4!2 days max even on power saving! I hope they’ve improved it!!

Pro should last a week. What if youre in the middle of forest and trap there and you need backtrack. 1 day is not enough.

I’ve tried rotating bezels before and it’s more of a fun gimmick but kind of unnecessary. You can just swipe onto the screen itself, I believe Samsung is realizing this and with fewer parts to replace it’s easier to service as well.

I’ve never owned a Galaxy watch before but I really enjoyed the idea of a physical bezel. That’s kind of what attracted me to the GW4 Classic. However seeing this review just kind of makes me realize I wouldn’t really use it that much. I do think it’s sad they’re removing and I wish they offered it as an optional thing but maybe they’ll bring it back as an optional “accessory” for their next watch if people want it back. That being said the GW5’s raised lip seems like it’ll solve the problem.

I bought the small version for my watch 3 but I think the apps and faces are more designed for the larger watches. some watch text gets really small. Plus the pro has a bigger battery finally. I bought my watch 3 over a year ago for $244 on sale and they will give me $190 trade in off the new watch. So $309 total cost. I dont think thats bad at all. Im tired of the short battery life on this one anyway so I think the upgrade will result in me using the watch more, since its not dead!

Nice to hear an Australian accent for a review. I find the bezel on my first gen Galaxy watch protects the watch face and edge from scratches on the glass.
