Google should push a legit, chromeOS-like desktop mode for the top of the line phones. Upgrades in CPU and GPU are just wasted on twitter and tiktok.

I’m sure all 16 people that were for whatever reason dissatisfied with literally any flagship phone camera in the past 3 to 5 years will be thrilled about this $1,100 camera upgrade. Innovation is dead.

One thing I will say when it comes to the cameras, Samsung makes consistent updates to its software so the camera software should improve over the life of the phone, usually the phone gets improvements from even the first update after release

The 8 Gen 2 is one of the best chips Qualcomm designed in years. It’s not every year they get it right with the perfect balance of power and efficiency.

The 810 (2015), 888 (2021), and 8 Gen 1 (early-2022) were not efficient enough. The higher single-core speeds in CPU and GPU could make the S23s better for emulation than the Red Magic 8 Pro. Any boost in single-core clock speeds makes running emulators perform better.

S23 Ultra is the one, folks. The Fold 5 and Flip 5 will come with smaller batteries with the same chip. Fold 5 powers a larger internal display. Flip 5 will probably come with a 3900 mAh battery like the base S23. Putting 5000 will make it too thick when it’s already thick when closed.

The number 23 is the GOAT number. The S23s will be released on Michael Jordan’s birthday. The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is the Michael Jordan among all their smartphones: the GOAT.

    • Freddie the Fly

@Sean Meadows I signed up on Samsung Canada website to get notified when the S23 was going on sale and a few days before the pre-sale started they sent me a code for $50 off the phone and the free Buds.

I use mine to take pictures of the Aurora here in Alaska. Of all the phones I have tried, The Galaxy S10+ took better pictures of the Aurora than the S20Ultra, S21Ultra or the S22Ultra. Why was the Galaxy S10+ so much better than the newer phones?

  31. Orang Edan

    February 5, 2023 at 6:37 am

BEWARE Samsung owners or want to buy new ones, Samsung phones DO NOT have aptx higher end codecs, ONLY old 16 bits aptx. IF you are into sound or streaming with bluetooth headphones, it’s bad. You can only use headphones that support LDAC or buy Samsung own headphones or earbuds to enjoy higher sound quality.

Design consultant Virginia Santy set out to create an office space built specifically for women, flipping the script on the subtle (and not-so-subtle) ways that workplaces and cities still fail them. The results were striking: greater productivity, deeper collaboration and an environment where women felt genuinely valued, leading her to ask a simple question: What would the world look like if we designed with women in mind?
