folding phones are bogus. you pay almost 2000 dollars just for the screen to break in a few months because you are using the device as intended. what a laughable design. until then can better chemically strengthen that ultra-thin glass so it can last 2-3 years for 95% of all the devices using it i won’t buy one.

Bridget’s voice, intonation, and facial expressions always crack me up. She’s got some serious talent for humor, and I have to admit, she’s also surprisingly tech-savvy for a comedian!

I still fail to see any appeal for a foldable phone except for gimmick the few friends I’ve known to get a foldable quickly go back to normal phones saying it’s fun at first but aside from that it becomes a pain and they break easy

by the time Apple decides to bring a foldable (i hope not), the competitors may move on to superior alternatives such as phones with a rollable screen technology. i think LG already showed a prototype a few years ago.

Rollables won’t replace foldables.
They both have their pros and cons and both can definitely coexist.
A rollable phone has less room for internal components because of the motor inside BUT it can have a flagship periscope camera since it won’t be thicker than a regular phone.
A foldable phone has more room to spread out the internal components but it can’t have flagship equivalent cameras because the device would be too thick while folded.
There are compromises involved for both form factors.

I don’t think folding phones are gonna just be fad, unless VR/AR takes over first!

I’ve been waiting for Apple to make a folding phone since they first came onto the market. They better hurry up; I’m about to switch to a different brand.

Brotha i know what you mean. Traded in my iPhone 12 Pro Max last August for the Galaxy Fold 4. And haven’t had any regrets ever since. I don’t see myself ever going back to a slab phone again. The foldables are just on a different level. And here’s a tip, don’t buy your phone at full price trade it in at Samsung’s website they allow you to trade in two phones at that time. Ended up getting mine at 512 GB for $600 and change.

Face it, Apple’s gonna take their time to do a foldable the right way, without a glasstic inner screen. Plus, we can all agree that when Apple does release it it’s gonna instantly be the bestselling Foldable on the market. ????????

I wouldn’t be surprised if Apple never bothered making a foldable. They’re always cautious about their products cannibalizing each other and no doubt a foldable iPhone might cannibalize the iPad unless they decide to make something in the vertical fold form factor. Of course I wouldn’t mind being wrong, everyone benefits when companies compete after all

Many commenters here are expressing interest in folding phones. I admit they’re cool, but I can’t see a purpose, any killer feature. How might others try to convince me to give a folding phone a go?
