man, he does really nail that thick american southern accent, english is my second language and i can barely understand him in hateful eight, django and fallout, but when he speaks normally i can understand him just fine

He has a southern accent to an American ear here. He just dials it way up for roles when he needs too. But this is southern. Listen to his O’s and R’s and how he says certain words like walk. He says it here like “waulk”.

Q: “What’s it like working with Tarantino?”
A: “Well, that depends. If he thinks you’re “manly” enough, he’s great. If he decides he doesn’t like your acting, even though he himself is a pretty s*** actor, be prepared to be berated both on set, and for decades to come”. Also, the Tarantino’s criticism is ridiculous. He writing style, while unique and amazing for what it is, is also very limited. So many characters in his films don’t sound like real characters because they just sound like Tarantino. It’s that “Tarantino style”. Is it amazing? That’s up to you, but it can be limited.

Boyd Crowder will always and forever be one of my two favorite characters. The other is Raylan Givens. I have yet to see anything match the barbed dialogue between the two of them in Justified, and nobody could have done it like Goggins and Olyphant.

Was hoping he’d get asked about SOA/playing Venus. I often watch his interviews to see if he’ll give more insight into that character, but he doesn’t talk about it too much. That was the first role i ever seen him play. I then watched The Shield afterwards. It still blows me away that both Shane and Venus were him. His range is 👌
