that’s all beautiful but what about get the problems on earth solved first? Like peace, water, housing, food, education, energy, transportation etc etc for all and then, when all people are happy and well educated, we can think about that and it will be a much faster achievement because we can use the power of 9 or 10 billion happy brains wotking together towards it! Is that hard to understand?

Considering all Elon says here, I think all technology should be set-up for use, & produced in Space, as Space is comparatively more favourable to technology, than here.
Following which, all of Earth should be left to flourish naturally on it’s own, unless we may sometimes need some technology here, which we should be able to access from Space, as it is abundantly produced there, & so could be got from there.

You missed the part where a single data center uses more electricity then dozens of International Space Station solar panels, massive. And that in a vacuum radiating the heat would be equally large. On a system that will be obsolete after a few years in a orbit that will eventually decay. And they want 100s or 1000s of these orbiting centers. LOL

I gotta say. The use of a mass driver on the moon to save fuel and cost is really smart. The tech is all there. While I don’t like Elon as a person this is a really good idea. But having enough radiators to bleed off heat will be one of the biggest challenges.
