Not caring is a talent best learnt young, nothing gets in your way then. Family then friends and relatives FLICK everyone and everything else, the strong survive for a reason.

This is the reason or society is failing.

Is it not society that built this “shell” around the males?
Starting as small children, the male is told to “walk off” injury, and females are coddled for the smallest scratch…. hmmm

As a woman, we also closed off to survive. We questions everything and ourselves first before open.

  12. @PVS3

    December 13, 2024 at 8:47 am

Yes, clearly the problem is the men who have learned to shield their emotions and not the society that taught them the hard way what happens to men who allow themselves to be vulnerable.

Thank God it’s a minute and a half

Not that anyone needs my two cents but I think I saw a clip with audio of Jordan Peterson speaking and he said a man with a small circle or no circle is not to be trifled with or underestimated. If a man has a small circle he’s found something in those people that’s worth something. Something that matters. Something worthwhile. Young men need fathers that care and direct the train them and a small circle of people or friends that care. A family of choosing or by blood but a family. Then a man can stand. But a man who stand s the firmest stands on God. And that is something to think about when you see a man who has no circle and doing fine. Don’t mess with the man of God, cause God is the one you’ll have to contend with.

“I don’t care” means “I don’t want to dwell on it. I can’t, and refuse to try to, do anything about it. It’s time to move on.”

Former senior US national security official Miles Taylor shares a personal account that raises a broader civic concern: the growing cost of dissent in American public life. Drawing on his experience inside government and living the consequences of speaking openly, he says that the real threat to US democracy isn’t the politicians or hard-liners — it’s the two-thirds of Americans who don’t speak up. (This talk contains mature language.) (Recorded at TEDxMidAtlantic on November 1, 2025)
