6:20 I can’t even understand your english…lol wtf are you saying? Where is the jump and how are they making his face pan? What does your algorithm actually detect?

No? What does the algorithm reads? He just says “it detects” but doesn’t explain how. I still can’t tell how the elong ma is made…

@sunsetlights100 where is the jump? the sunglasses hits the face because he didn’t put on perfectly, then the hand moves to the left to wear the sunglasses…

He says ‘if the bar is brown it’s deep fake’ wtf? lol and then in the end he says the algorithm is 50-60% FN…

    Examples are good.
But what the algorithm is actually detecting? Is the facial expressions or Other parameters like color, movements?

Interestingly, nowadays creators can do anything with AI to make a deep fake look almost real. Thanks for bringing this to light. Most people just share what they get to circulate it … 👍✌️

0:12 this is Deep Fake according to my algorithm….most of this video the bar is brown therefore it’s deep fake….

Sorry guys, I have a question.
How often does the AI misidentify real videos as fake? For example, in a real interviews it is common practice to have a fake background. That does not make the interview fake.

Superb coverage on AI manipulation to achieve a “change” and having social media make false/fake claims/videos of scenarios to one of believability!

  19. Taylor Shreve

Interesting implications especially in news and politics as it crosses my mind as mindlessly as we scroll sometimes mixed in with other media it sure would fool me if it was subtle enough. And not only with people thinking that something deepfake is real but also vice versa; with people arguing that something real was a deepfake as they would not want to believe something their favorite politician said would be true! Quite a perfect tool to add to our already divisive news and media. Something to think about for sure, especially as the technology progresses and becomes more mainstream.

You wanna get away with deep fake? Do it on black people…

This is one of those times the old adage “it’s all fun and games until somebody gets hurt” really fits

  22. ax bx

What I learned from this video is not “deep fake is dangerous” (I already knew that), but sometime so called “experts” can be dangerous – they can claim their AI discovers a video is fake, even when it’s real.

    1. his AI is just bad (even he admits it).
    2. In the ‘Chinese Elon putting on glasses’ video, I personally don’t see anything wrong, and other than this, he doesn’t provide other evident that Chinese Elon is fake.

In the job field of people who are writing the programs, and making the AI that detects the deep fakes.

The expert has a strong accent. It seems that he got some skills when it comes to deepfake analysis, but subtitles could help understang his diction. That said, the video is quite informative.

deep fake really creeps me out. Like it only produces a mild laugh. At a very primal level perhaps, it just feels super, super “off”, like that we should never have gone down this path.

A little tweak on the video production and the algorithm won’t tell.
