Researchers also found no major change in physiological stress markers like cortisol linked to coffee consumption, suggesting coffee may not actually increase…

Coffee has micro TOXINS..now while I’m a daily drinker of coffee usually two cups is my limit no more and sometimes one cup will do…3 to 5 cups is way to much and isn’t at all good for you..there are benefits for senior citizens to have a cup or two in the morning science has shown it helps keep the mind working better for the consumer..and caffeine in general doesn’t help stress speeding the heart and mashing the gas in not what you need under stress you want to tap the breaks with chamomile and catnip tea or maringa is good too

3-5 cups of what size? how many oz/gr per day are they basing the tests on?
@flipcoin6301
May 18, 2026 at 5:28 pm
Cup = 8 oz
@jmchau
May 18, 2026 at 10:11 pm
@flipcoin6301 Yes, 8 oz is a cup in american cooking, however in other countries the volume of a cup may differ. Also if you look at coffee maker, the volume of a coffee maker ‘cup’ is usually 5-6 ounces. Thus my wondering on exactly what measurement of volume they were using for their study.
@V3RTIGO222
May 19, 2026 at 3:57 am
@jmchau pot brew coffee makers generally make around 4-6 cups, but some larger ones go up to 8-12 cups. I assume you’re specifically thinking of Keurig style coffee makers.

😂Ya right, so now suddenly coffee is a “wonderous/miraculous drink that we’d been ignoring for all these years”. 😂If only had we known about this earlier.
😂Let me take a wild random guess, this “research” project was an industry sponsored one, by someone like Nestle, Nescafe, or something.

A study of 31 coffee drinkers and 31 non-coffee drinker is hardly a compelling sample size for conclusive science. Come back to us when you can report thousands of people in both categories.

As someone who just recently stopped drinking my 1-2 cups a day, I can safely say my sleep schedule has been sooooo much better since I’ve stopped. And the quality of sleep has been better too.
So dunno whether this study had proper placebo and control subjects as well, but it sure seems that coffee impacts everyone differently.
