capitol riot means a covid19 petri dish; we need another lockdown.
we have streaming and don’t need to travel or go to a commercial theater and avoid
covid19, mass shooting (gun sales doubled in 2020), police killing nonwhites like George Floyd, and exploding RVs like in
Nashville, capitol rioters bringing pipe bombs

“Freedom of speech isn’t a freedom to slander” 13:39
Oh yeah, so where was you “Anti Defamation League” when those femi nazis were trying to slander and character-assassinate Justice Kavanaugh?
In the end they all said that they had lied and smeared then-judge Kavanaugh in order to disrupt his hearing confirmation? Where was you commie organization when that was happening? Cheering for the terrorists and saying “I’m with her”?

Yelling ‘fire!’ in a crowded theatre (when there is none) is not free speech. Also, these technology firms have ARTIFICIAL PERSON status; they are not governmental entities – a fact many rightwingers, some even sympathetic towards these terrorists that emerged last week, seem shamefully unaware of (corporations are people, my friend) 😎

The bans don’t apply to just Trump. 100s or even 1000s of conservative users etc are being chucked off media platforms. Parler has been destroyed. From a neutral UK perspective it seems that the US has suffered a coup driven by the left and the hi tech firms. “First they came for the conservatives and I did not speak out— Because I was not a conservative. …. Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.”.

The “private company” argument is specious. If a monopoly comms carrier can ban users, then what is there to stop, say, an electricity supplier disconnecting politically unwanted users?
