I have always loved your criticism. Subjectively though… You are wrong on the looks. The cybertruck is futuristic and beautiful! You are old and to stuck on oily beauties. The cybertruck will be millennial utility. Times and preferences have changed!

Seems oddly obsessed with ‘blockiness’ of the hummer even though blockiness isn’t optimal for exploring dimensionality and potential. nvm tsla has the deepest and most robust learning corpus on the planet. Hummer is just the same people doing the same thing pretending to have a grip on the future when they’re holding the wrong wrist.

More anti-Tesla garbage from media. People will make the right decision regardless.

GM is wasting money on ads and paid reviews like this instead of focusing on product. Tesla doesn’t advertise and still sells every vehicle they can make because they focus on the product.

    Word. Of. Mouth. Is. Powerful.

These car companies wouldn’t even be making electric cars if it wasn’t for what Tesla has done and the others trying to keep up in fear that Tesla eill put them out of business.. They needed someone to come in and give them a run for their money..

I am very happy that these old car companies are finally starting to show a little innovation.. But It’s Tesla or nothing for me.. For reasons of trust qnd investment..

A Cybertruck is more bulletproof than a house the same price.
With nearly all car makers, they force to pay for things you don’t really need, or want. Paint job, extra buttons that break, lights designed to break, and everything is a cost to replace. Cybertruck is away from all that feminine knobs and make up. When you realize that it has AC outlet, then you can live in it or do what you want with that power. If someone opens their door onto the hummer in a parking lot, then it depreciates. Cybertruck doesn’t dent or have paint scratched off. If you blow torch it, the heat adds colour.
The styling is called Brutalist, and it’s because it’s a disruptor and intended to be hard as nails. They can’t say “Built Ford Tough” anymore.
If you want the toughest, most practical, lowest cost of ownership truck, it’s Cybertruck. Think of the nothingness as a canvas to play with.
Crab walking in a car is probably best for parallel parking.
I think Cybertruck beats every car and truck. It’s asking for a machine gun on the back.

    May 1, 2021 at 3:42 pm

2:00 You know why the Cybertruck hasn’t grown on you? Because you’re old and you think old. Close some of those doors in your head and open new ones. Change is good…👍

I don’t care how much this guy trys to dig at Tesla. I’ve been a GM truck driver since 2001 (since I started driving), and it’s the Tesla for me in every category of feature and design.
Edit: He actually said the acceleration capability is “kinda silly”. Yeah, nothing he says about vehicles matters to me. lol

I know exactly what it is, I thought that it wouldn’t grow on me… It HAS. And then the Cybertruck Cyberlandr is amazing!!! It’s like having a mini home wherever you go! Let’s see, a tent vs a mini home with a stove, a sink, a TV, a shower, and a mini fridge… Yeah I know which I’d want! You say it looks like a lot of nothing, and say “The rest is Spartan vill”. That’s a compliment to us Halo fans, as it IS supposed to represent the Halo Warthog. Us old school Halo fans like our simple styles. You also didn’t mention how the Cybertruck has a steel body and bullet proof windshields!

  38. roguedogx

    May 1, 2021 at 8:13 pm

honestly, I don’t like either of these. I like the hummer more than the cybertruck, but I wouldn’t buy either of them. If I had the money, and needed an electric truck, the Rivian R1T would be the one I’d have. I do wish it had GM’s array of buttons, or Tesla’s charging network, but overall I think it’s the best of all worlds.

Everyone is free to have their own opinion. I disagree with you on almost every point. I have had lots of cars in the last 50 years. Expensive, not so expensive and so on. My experience with Tesla was that my wife and I took a test drive in a dual motor Model Y a little over two months ago and after ten minutes I said to my wife, “this is likely the best driving car I have ever driven and a level above anything I have ever driven”. We bought one that day and picked it up a couple of days later. So far Tesla has been a great company to do business with.

I watched the televised introduction of the Cybertruck back about a year and a half ago. When it was driven on stage I just went, WOW! And about two minutes later I said to myself, “I want one”. I have not put myself on the waiting list yet, but if the Cybertruck comes out and has good reviews I think I will.

To me the Cybertruck is a an advanced vehicle built out of the same stuff that is used on rockets to go to the space station. I like that it has no paint. It will not get damaged as easily when 4 wheeling. I also have grown to really like the minimalist interior of my model Y, and like the fact that the Cybertruck will be similar. I like the Hummer EV too, but I just don’t have that, “I gotta have it” emotion as I do with the Tesla.

These are all good for use them as a day to day “car” not a real truck :P. Try tow 7k lbs for a 1000km trip…imagine how many charging stations you’d be in for 40+mins to just get to where you want to go. I assume a 1 day job site would turn into a 3 days trip. Hopefully it will be a real truck for truck users when they really come out.

  53. Gregory Petty

    May 2, 2021 at 3:18 am

I hope the base price on the Tesla Single Motor RWD on the Tesla Cyber Truck will be around 40,000.00 like they say it will. Because if so, come 2-3 years down the road, I might trade in my 2018 Nissan Altima for the Tesla Cyber Truck Single Motor RWD and if not, the Nissan Ariya.

  54. Samuel Hirosky

    May 2, 2021 at 4:28 am

You see, what we admire about the Tesla truck, is that oddly enough, it’s what a truck should be. Minimalist, simple, and a good work horse. This is the first truck since the model A Ford, that you can do your own bodywork with stainless steel sheet metal, and a sheet metal brake. No paint means no scratches. We don’t need it to be fancy and pretty. The hummer in my opinion was only cool If it was the AM General HMMWV or the Hummer H1. The H2 wasn’t anywhere near what AM General had engineered.

The hummer EV is a gorgeous truck. But in terms of being a “truck” and not an electric (big) Jeep, the Tesla takes the win. In my humble opinion.

  55. AGENT SMITH

    May 2, 2021 at 5:50 am

Hummer has always been ugly and they make the same ugly design again. The interior is overloaded with ugly buttons too. I prefer tesla innovative, futuristic and original design by far! And I totally love the zen interior! And anyway my most important factor for choosing the cybertruck is the range. Hummer is loosing on all sides. And I hate hummer for what the brand represents anyway.

Tesla Cyber Truck will have less than 10 control modules(made by Tesla). If the hummer is anything like what VW did for their E.V. it will be 7X more…. and tesla pays their programmers to delete lines of code, run their super computers on les power, give free software updates for increased persormance, efficiency, safety etc…. also the CT is likely going to be the safest vehicle ever produced.

I like how all the delusional Tesla minions are here in force. Tesla is the biggest dupe in the automotive industry. Talk about getting about a company making billions without much effortd. Look how long it took them to redesign the Model S🙄. They know people will buy regardless. Their cars have the worst interiors for a luxury brand. The only thing their cars have a leg up in is their ranges and auto pilot. Very unreliable cars, you can’t even fix them on your own. They must be serviced at a Tesla dealership for an arm and a leg outside of warranty. Fit and finish is mediocre. Not the easiest to interact with when driving since there no buttons. If you’re gonna charge premium for a car, at least ensure the materials are of high quality ensure customers are getting what they paid such as adding a guage cluster. They know there are clowns out there who will buy even if their cars had the shape of a triangle. All of the above are cost cutting measures to maximize profits. It has nothing to do with being different.
