You know what’s crazy. The question “ how do we know there was a big bang” He says that If we can see 13.8 billion light years away we would see the Big Bang happening every direction. That means that if you were at the Big Bang and looked also 13.8 billion light years away. Wouldn’t that mean that we were there since the very beginning.

The second answer should be because they are far apart.. it’s odd that he mentions the “beginning” we have so many stars that their light reaches us but it’s still dark. It would be much more informative if he mentions the “inverse square law”

The universe seems to be the concept of the entity that contains everything in it; the bubble we’re all floating around inside of. Now, because I don’t think there’s proof of anything outside this universe, and because I think the definition of ‘the universe’ has become interchangeable with ‘all of existence’, I think that the universe could instead be the entity that contains everything. So if all of existence is within this unknown shape of unknown proportion and uncertain limit, the theory of universal expansion could be mistaken for that of a universe that stretches infinitely and semi-fourth dimensionally in the shape of a perfect (irrational, and thus infinite) sphere to contain anything that travels its edge. That would also explain the curvature of the fabric of space, as well as gravitational rules within the universe. It could be that the universe contains us like entities in a glass ornament filled with semi-solid resin to leave no room for freedom of (universally-relative) existential entities. So to escape the universe, you’d simply have to not exist. Easy, right?

I’m a bit confused about the human size:solar system and ???:galaxy question.
Did he get it switch around or it’s a problem with the translation/subtitle?
If our solar system is human sized, the galaxy (the Milky Way) would just be a couple of small globes big?
Isn’t the galaxy bigger than our solar system?

I don’t know if something was lost in translation. What he is explaining at 14:05 is a wormhole. A warp-drive works by stretching and contracting space pulling a spaceship along as if it’s riding on a wave. Warp drive may be possible in theory but would require a lot of energy, maybe even more energy than exists in the universe.

When he was answering that question about explosions in space he spoke about the heat/energy used to hold the nucleus in an atom. So does that mean that the heat generated in a space explosion is like ‘nuclear’? Coz it sounds like a ‘splitting of the atom’ type thing. I only have high school level physics here so someone help me out please.
