Apple Watch Series 7 review: A modest upgrade to the Series 6

This is a nice clear review. Are the watches you’re wearing the 41mm or 45mm?

41mm. I caught a glimpse of the back at 0:54

I’ll keep my SE 40mm LTE, and my Series 6 44mm LTE. I think the series 7 is a big whammy for me.
The same goes with the new MacBooks I’ll keep my M1 Mac Mini, and Pro

Why would you even have two apple watches?

      @impendio Why not?

Modest yes but seems massive at times. Upgraded every year since original and was not going to because of the modest upgrade but did and glad I did.

      October 26, 2021 at 11:33 pm

Why would you upgrade every year? It’s a _watch…_

    • Jake Cracker Barrel

@impendio why not? Maybe he likes having new features!

@impendio if you can and you want to, I don’t see a problem with that.

    October 26, 2021 at 11:38 pm

Half of the features of the Watch are not available on my country, either because no carrier has LTE for e-sims, or because _no one_ uses Apple services (like iMessage) or most services outright don’t work (Maps or ECG) so really any Series 4~6/SE are functionally identically here, and the 7 is again such a minimal increase under those conditions compared to the 6 that it makes no sense whatsoever to upgrade any of those. I’ll wait until my Series 6 dies or they add a new health sensor that actually works…

Apple will give you $210 trade in value for your 6 series, so you’re really be paying $249 for the 45mm 7 series. Mine will be arriving Friday.

Is this a good watch if I don’t own one?

    • Numerical 999

      October 27, 2021 at 7:16 pm

It depends on what you’ll use it for, if you just want something to tell the time, probably not since you could get something that might feel a bit more premium than a computer on your wrist. If you exercise sometimes or would just like a health companion, it’s a pretty good buy. the SE is cheaper, with some drawbacks in features but read into that and see what you will actually use. 🙂

Who here is waiting for a circular Apple Watch?

    • Brian Buchert

      October 28, 2021 at 1:25 pm

I’ve thought about a round one then I wonder if you would get the same amount of info on it? That’s one thing I like about the galaxy is it’s shape oh yeah and you get tons of cool watch faces! I wish Apple would make faces available from other watches!

  19. GoGreenAndGameOn

    October 27, 2021 at 6:08 am

I don’t know why nobody has doubled the screen size horizontally. It’s not like it would be that big to wear, might as well put a complete phone on the wrist already instead.

  20. BEATERTV

    October 27, 2021 at 8:45 am

Terrible review, the screen size difference alone (bigger) makes it a great upgrade

    • mohan raj

      October 27, 2021 at 10:07 am

If u own a series 4 or older sure, but most ppl who own a series 6 or 5 have very little reason to upgrade as pointed by the reviewer.

    • Brian Buchert

Yeah because it does so much lol but seriously I see your point if it were just about telling time I would agree as I love my Casios and G-SHOCK watches but this series 7 does help me track my health very easily but it’ll never replace my “ real” watches

Nothing new in series7..1mm for additional its not a big deal ..same curved screen like previous series ..Apple making fools to the world if they change only apple crown in big size ..world will buy it only for bigger crown ..how stupid people are ..im good in series 5 ..
