Was an Apple Watch loyalist for 8 years. Just gave it up recently as I got tired of charging my watch every night + wanted something less distracting on my wrist. Went with the Whoop (yes it has a subscription but $0 for the actual device), so I don’t mind it + no screen + 15 days battery life.

If Apple comes out with a screenless device, then we’re cookin’ 🔥

    • @TJWasiuk

      September 17, 2026 at 7:27 pm

I find that if I charge the watch for 30 mins after I decompress from work. I can put it back on and it will last till the same time the next day. But an “Apple Strap” is a cool idea!

I have to be the only person that wants the audio features. What I didn’t realize until after I ordered, was that they aren’t going to happen right now. I think this is going to be a miracle for hard-of-hearing or deaf people. There are so many times when I don’t hear a word or a comment (like when I asked my neighbor her son’s name, and didn’t hear it and repeated it back wrong, and she nicely said, oh well, we call him that sometimes. I still don’t know the kid’s name!). The thing is, we do have these programs already on our phones at least the recording one. My sister, who is nearly deaf uses them all the time. I use them in groups where I can’t hear totally what is said. I also have a paid program that summarizes things. I canceled the subscription not realizing we weren’t getting these upon delivery. Not saying it couldn’t be used in a bad way, so can everything else, but for the hard-of-hearing, it’s just another tool to survive in a hearing world, and as people get older, you will be glad it’s there. Also, if I am in a group meeting, I do comment that I have it on, even though my phone is usually sitting on the table so people would question it anyway.

Readiness score is cool and all, but who wants to sleep with their Apple Watch on their hand.

    • @Pythonzzz

      September 17, 2026 at 4:50 pm

I don’t mind it, but I usually charge my watch overnight

    • @jordanthecat

      September 17, 2026 at 4:55 pm

I’ve been wearing my Apple Watch to bed for years, and I’m not conscious of its presence at all. Maybe I was for the first night or two, but I don’t recall.

  7. @jordanthecat

    September 17, 2026 at 4:50 pm

The drama of almost missing out on ordering a glass of wine was absolutely fabulous and adorable!

  8. @Agralas

The most useful apple watch ever feature was the ability to switch between apps by double clicking a wheel button and to close apps that you don’t use this way. They removed this completely with this rewind gimmick. That’s no update for me and my s11, unfortunately 😢

    • @MikeyBats

      September 17, 2026 at 7:28 pm

Yea, I don’t like that they took away the double click option to close or switch thru the apps. I don’t like apps running in the background for many reasons, one major reason is battery draining. Many YouTubers say apps running don’t really drain your battery but it does. So yea, I hate that it’s gone too

Secure EXCLAVE* not enclave. When you asked Siri about the Secure Enclave it gave you the correct answer, but you asked the wrong question.

  11. @lhzsdgsfbvv

    September 17, 2026 at 5:30 pm

It’s sad that the battery time is still in hours while more serious sportswatches like the ones from Garmin have them in days or weeks.

  12. @Ghost818-x8c

    September 17, 2026 at 5:45 pm

Honestly being able to record the last 15 seconds of a conversation is kinda creepy

    • @MikeyBats

      September 17, 2026 at 7:24 pm

True.. it can be helpful in a way but it can also be invasive

  13. @Flick-t2v

    September 17, 2026 at 6:04 pm

I can’t believe people still don’t mute out the word ‘Siri’ to prevent the viewer’s devices setting off.

I’m a Samsung guy but love the Apple watch series . If they made it universal, I would definitely buy it. Only Apple product I like.

  15. @OldmavericWoW

    September 17, 2026 at 6:30 pm

Now every time you sit down with someone: “I have to legally tell you my Apple Watch 12 is recording our conversation. Can you please sign this consent form before we continue.” 🙄

  16. @michaelburton

    September 17, 2026 at 7:00 pm

I already ordered two watches to replace our series 8 watches since they aren’t supported by iOS 27 and the battery isn’t great anymore. It looks like I’ll be able to get rid of bevel app since Apple’s own software will be doing much of the same thing. Im definitely looking forward to better battery life and useful stats for health.

People are going nuts about the Apple watch microphone and questioning the security. You realised that every smartphone has a microphone, internet connection and don’t have any exclave at all, right? Almost all smart phones have an always on mic listening for Hey Siri or Hey Google as well as other features like Googles music widget etc. Also have you ever had a conversation with someone about a product and then 2 hours later you get ads for that product? Yeah, microphones. The Apple Watch with it’s sophisticated security should be the least of your concerns.

  22. @limitlesswondermedia

    September 17, 2026 at 8:43 pm

It’s not about how secure Apple’s servers are, it’s about the creepy person secretly recording a summary of your conversation w/o your knowing. What you say on a date, during an argument, a confidential business meeting, the people at the table next to you….

  23. @AlexRochette

    September 17, 2026 at 8:59 pm

    • @vanessahandorellana

      September 18, 2026 at 12:01 am

That’s on the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, it uses machine learning to figure out sweat loss.

  27. @khalidomar1381

    September 17, 2026 at 11:59 pm

Great video and loving the new battery life and health metric readiness. As for the AI it will be interesting to see how it evolves but I think apple should let it run and not have too many guard rails on it so it can really tap into the whole ecosystem. Keep up the amazing work!

  28. @DAVIDSDIEGO

    September 18, 2026 at 12:06 am

I’m just here for the Siri Recap of my better half and me arguing over whether we actually need to upgrade to the Series 12. It’s going to be the most objective judge of character I’ve ever owned.

  29. @zeniktorres4320

    September 18, 2026 at 1:07 am

Apple does not need to raise the price or offer a subscription as the data they collect will make up for it.

  30. @sagarviswanathan1956

    September 18, 2026 at 1:35 am

Amazfit smart watch already has this readiness feature with excellent battery life and costs five times less 😂.

  31. @OregonNewsToday

    September 18, 2026 at 4:22 am

Umm 🤔 I don’t need all that health stuff. Just too old. I live or I die, no one cares. It is funny 30 years ago the world would scream bloody murder, if you openly recorded people without their permission!!

  32. @LokeshKumar.B

    September 18, 2026 at 4:27 am

does apple will not make it subscription once it got more users on boarded for few features which makes it better

  33. @egorkosten

    September 18, 2026 at 6:01 am

Those gadgets are just screaming for attention even with arranging icons on a new home screen. How you are not tired of managing all of it? Charging them, wearing them, testing, crazy.

  34. @egorkosten

    September 18, 2026 at 6:08 am

What is the point of reviewing the feature without it being released? I also saw a commercial, but how it will actually work? This is the main question.

  35. @egorkosten

    September 18, 2026 at 6:08 am

Let’s admit that Readiness Score is just a software feature they don’t want you to have on Series 11, just because they want to sell you Series 12.

  36. @egorkosten

    September 18, 2026 at 6:14 am

Probably for people who are very into stats and paranoid about health it’s a good device.

  37. @egorkosten

    September 18, 2026 at 6:15 am

I feel like pleasing your gadget is becoming a common game for people nowadays. 13:04

  38. @Trailrunner-p2q

    September 18, 2026 at 6:21 am

Wait for suddenly concerned company bosses banning Apple watches and other smart watches. 😂

  39. @papadougsadventures

    September 18, 2026 at 6:45 am

I’ve had every version of the apple watch and currently have the series 11. Today my series 12 should arrive. I mainly use it for tracking sleep. Looking forward to the new sensor

  40. @mayalikethebee

    September 18, 2026 at 8:05 am

    Love the new features

  41. @GeologyDude

    September 18, 2026 at 8:13 am

Great video! However the creepy factor is ridiculous. iPhones have been able to record voice for a long time. This watch is less problematic. And nobody has privacy these days too

  42. @Gravage

    September 18, 2026 at 8:25 am

I wonder if the audio intelligence delay will be like another iPhone 16 Apple intelligence scandal. Like, we won’t see it for a year, if ever.

  43. @radart6037

    September 18, 2026 at 9:41 am

    An excellent review.

  44. @tripheath7578

    September 18, 2026 at 1:04 pm

Solid review….. my 12 arrives today, and I was shocked. They didn’t bounce the prices up this year.

  45. @camerastooge

    September 18, 2026 at 1:58 pm

The audio rewind is a great feature for deaf/hard of hearing folks (same as with the sound notifications), but yeah, privacy concerns absolutely abound.

The Siri transcription feature is Apple taking on all those AI-powered apps like Granola — I’m not sure how many people use those kinds of apps, the job I’m in doesn’t do a lot of meetings. So the technology is already here; Apple is just making it a standard feature.

  46. @Eazydeazy1

    September 18, 2026 at 3:07 pm

Apple raised the price on the bigger size 46 mm watch. $20 price increase!

  47. @TroupeGoal

    September 18, 2026 at 5:00 pm

Hm I appreciate the listing and description of new features, but a bit weaker on evaluating the actual benefits and whether this is a worthwhile upgrade. ‘Future proofing’, battery life and measuring my heart more often don’t seem like huge improvements, to me at least.

    • @vanessahandorellana

      September 18, 2026 at 7:49 pm

Sadly there’s only so much I can test in five days. I think the real value of that readiness score will take time, as you start detecting trends and learning new things about your own body. Same with the audio features because they’re not out. So it’s worth revisiting both after some time. However a lot of people are making purchasing decisions this week so I reviewed what was available. I did mention using Siri AI on the new watch is much faster and worth it if you plan on using this feature. As I said in the conclusion: not worth upgrading from series 11, but Id definitely upgrade from a series 9 or older.

  48. @darinherrick9224

    September 18, 2026 at 6:01 pm

I think what people are missing is that eventually it will just be agents talking to each other and sending us notes instead of having a meeting at all.

I’m already getting AI agents texting me asking to interview me for a job.

Soon middle managers will be AI agents and the agents will just have meetings among themselves.

I’m sure shortly all employee terminations will be handled by AI agents.

  49. @darinherrick9224

    September 18, 2026 at 6:04 pm

The espionage industry is going to go bananas for all this stuff. Auto translation and recordings with summaries. Adjustable aperture cameras in phones.
