I think an Apple TV with an M series chip that could act as like a controller for all the HomePods is probably the best thing that way we wouldn’t have to update all the HomePods in order to get all the features whether or not that’s possible with Apple current architecture is the real question.

    Dream homepod is as follows
Giant smooth fabric speaker long to 36 inches and a separate sub or something new entirely in place of a subwoofer since some people need sleep when you want to experience movies ????❤ a new kind of homepod thing a watch with upgraded haptic and meant specifically for sub response times and you can take it off and charge it on the speaker

Almost like that silicone bracelet with replacement part like the watch

I don’t carry my phone into every room, I installed HomePod minis in every room on the wall, found mounting brackets on Amazon I even installed a plug with my light switches so the HomePod mini sits next to the switches. It’d be great if they allowed one company to put Siri inside a light switch then I could go even further and have it in the toilet , closet, near the shower entrance. Microphones everywhere. HomePods don’t really pump up the jams as loud as I need them to be in my house. I like the walls to shake and HomePod will never be able to do that.

And I just realize something why did they release HomePodOS software 18 if the seventh generation can only support the 15 updates.
Am I missing something or what and note I do not have a whole pot at all

Couldn’t Homepod siri do all her computation server-side? Sounds like theres no good reason even the first gen homepod shouldn’t have the new siri. Its just an interface.

    They just don’t work !

i have a homepod mini, but it constantly disconnects. i only used it for a week.

Not to bothered about a screen but HomePods need to run the new Siri.

This makes me think that apple intelligence was put together quickly as much as they’ve been talking about it’s been in the background for years. It makes no sense that the HomePod and at least the iPhone 14 and up can’t handle or weren’t made with apple AI in mind…

  11. @felix_five

    August 2, 2024 at 5:00 pm

That speaker render you showed was my Beats Pill ????

  12. @JosephRawsthorne31

    August 2, 2024 at 5:20 pm

Why cant apple make an actual Apple TV where you can link your iPhone so you can use the camera for FaceTime and Microsoft teams meeting. It’s a shame they cant do an all in one to like they have done with the IMac.

  13. @chad-harris

    August 2, 2024 at 5:24 pm

I have 3 minis… they work pretty well you just have to talk to them in a specific way and tone.

  14. @RYN988

    August 2, 2024 at 7:07 pm

The homepod is a total mess. I have bought the first and second gens of the big guy and several of the minis and they all suck. I don’t care much about sound quality I want a smarter more capable Siri. Simple rudimentary things like run a shortcut or control a home accessory is a royal pain in the butt. I’m getting like 50 percent failure rates. Sometimes it’s so dumb I can’t believe Apple actually approved this hot garbage. It can’t even play my freakin’ playlist. I tell it “play my lullaby playlist” and it plays some song I never heard of called lullaby. Jesus H Christ.

Is that patent drawing not the new Beats pill???

  16. @gtek1357

    August 2, 2024 at 9:44 pm

Honestly, I’m just disappointed that my HomePod mini is so terrible nowadays. Feels like it has a 30% success rate in achieving what I ask it to do.

  17. @JackyTran

    August 2, 2024 at 11:23 pm

I would like to see a HomePod with a projector. Much like the Samsung Freestyle one

  18. @joecampo1770

    August 3, 2024 at 12:48 am

I’m going the opposite direction as an original HomePod owner, I have the original HomePods. I’m done with this upgrade every couple years nonsense because my perfectly good functioning speakers are no longer functioning properly. I’m going back to hardwired speakers I’m abandoning ship and not playing these silly Siri/ speaker games.

  19. @mashthereal

    August 3, 2024 at 1:30 am

I don’t see HomePods replacing people’s Google homes and Amazon alexas

    She’s so hot ????????

  21. @barrydunn4764

    August 3, 2024 at 12:16 pm

I purchased a HomePod soon after the release and have used it ever since in my bedroom. I ask Siri for weather reports, to tell me the time, to set and turnoff alarms and I know if needed I can use it to call emergency services. As soon as Apple releases a HomePod with Apple Intelligence I will gladly upgrade.

  22. @EN-sc9yh

    August 3, 2024 at 12:54 pm

I would like a home brain, which could act as hub and server as well as take over the inquiries from all devices and provide answer to whoever made the inquiry.

  23. @barryr607

    August 3, 2024 at 4:08 pm

Bridget, I’m with you! I just want my 2 minis and my 3 OG Homepods to work at 100% AI with SIRI. I don’t need a screen.

    • @barryr607

      August 3, 2024 at 4:10 pm

      Also, you are beautiful!

  24. @noName-kn1lx

    August 3, 2024 at 4:22 pm

Just a gimmick to move homepod sales- pass

  25. @kjlim3170

    August 3, 2024 at 8:48 pm

I hope Apple releases a Sub, central speaker and surround speaker HomePod. Then we can have 5.1 home theatre system

  26. @paultopping7413

    August 4, 2024 at 5:32 am

I was never tempted by a HomePod because of how poor Siri is even though I do have other devices in the Apple ecosystem. I am hoping my Amazon echo devices do not become useless and Amazon upgrades with AI on their devices!

  27. @llbpll

    August 4, 2024 at 9:50 am

My ideal speaker would be a HomePod with a clock display under the fabric (think discontinued echo dot with clock) with an angled MagSafe dock sticking out of the top. A cool “one more thing” could be an iPad mini with MagSafe.

  28. @mrdextrous355

    August 4, 2024 at 2:30 pm

I’d welcome the HomePod with a built in battery and having an upgraded version with the new Siri would be an upgrade for sure

  29. @beniaminmilczarczyk9020

    August 4, 2024 at 3:16 pm

Amazon echo dot is way better . Got it as a corporate Christmas gift and it’s so much better

  30. @mic9657

    August 4, 2024 at 8:37 pm

YASSSSS! ???? agree, the Hompod Siri needs to be the smartest in my home
