Apple AI?! You mean Google AI/Gemini

  2. @E6ajc

    January 23, 2026 at 12:33 pm

Apple Fitness+ is great IMO. There is enough new content to use it 3+ times per week.

      What workouts should I try?

    Go to the DAMN DOCTOR!

      Yes, sir!

Real Doctor: You have a scratch on your hand. Put on a band aide.
WebMD (or AI): You have less than 1 month to live.

Give my medical history to a government agency for Obamacare? Never!

Give my medical history to Google AI? Great!

Folks, stop and think about it before you pay a monthly subscription to surrender more of your privacy.

    love it

  7. @Belgarathe

    January 23, 2026 at 1:54 pm

Hmm anyone using AI knows it responses are good but also can be horribly wrong. Worked in the health care field, i can tell you it wont be replacing doctors anytime soon. The get that final approval for medical diagnosis is nearly impossible.

  8. @Belgarathe

    January 23, 2026 at 1:55 pm

Let’s be honest here. I don’t think it lack of data that the issue. It all of us eating and drinking like we are still in our twenties 😂

    • @Some0ne001

      January 23, 2026 at 4:05 pm

Bingo that’s an issue I saw in the medical field when I was working in it. We took care of diabetics at one clinic I worked at and 80% of the time when the doctor would tell them to change their habits to eat healthy they decided they just wanted the medicine and didn’t want anyone to tell them what to eat and they wanted to enjoy life. 🤦‍♂️ I left the medical profession for many reasons and im happy in not in it anymore.

So I got the Abbott Sencer last year. I tried it for two weeks and it was really insightful, I was bumped that it did not work with Apple health then I emailed Abbott to ask them about that and they said it was a limitation by Apple, especially on a blood glucose meter

  12. @Jayden-lr2mm

Pretty obvious in going with real doctors is the safer option. AI is sometimes inaccurate

Free style libre 2 I have diabetes I always use it

  14. @mallie35

    January 23, 2026 at 3:32 pm

Those patches like with the Libre 2 don’t work, they’re not accurate and after 2 weeks you have to pay $AUS102 for a new patch, that’s a lot of $$$ to use them over a year. Waste of time and money.

  16. @trevbil

    January 23, 2026 at 3:39 pm

If you’re well, you do not need obsessive tracking of all your vitals or changes. It’ll be an unnecessary waste of money and you may end up with health anxiety.

    • @BridgetCarey

      January 23, 2026 at 4:41 pm

That is very true. But I’m the kind of person who has been hiding from my numbers and not checking anything. But I know what you’re talking about is a very real thing and I’ll watch for that.

  17. @MrMeowNow

    January 23, 2026 at 3:56 pm

That is the question, how well it actually will work. For example, when u google anything, the first thing u see is the Ai summery. This is a huge problem, some times u get simply INCORRECT information from whatever source… I am an architect and when googling some IBC code registration, I have seen complete incorrect info from Ai summery, I know that because I know IBC code… but typical person would not know the wrong answer from the right one, they will just read the Ai summery and assume it is correct..
me personally, this Ai is a mess, from incorrect info to huge price jump in ddr 4 and 5 ram kits and ssds…
    Oh well…
Check your sources before stupidly believing the Ai summery!

  18. @Some0ne001

    January 23, 2026 at 3:59 pm

At least the AI doctor will listen, in not that against AI doctors based off of my own experience and other family’s experiences going to doctors.

  27. @TheCowthulu

    January 23, 2026 at 11:27 pm

I think that an A.I. health feature could be good it was more like the Mindfulness feature maybe at a once or twice a week check in. To log how we are feeling health wise and any symptoms or sickness.

We probably only see our doctor once or twice a year and it’s hard to think about the amount of times you got sick or that random recurring pain that you get in the winter when it’s the summer for the appointment. Or that weight gain/loss hat goes back to your original numbers a few months later.

It’s all about being able to log everything and make a synonymous for the doctor that can be expanded on both with conversation with the real life doctor and by logging on the phone.

You are still gorgeous Bridget, it’s a great idea though as here in the UK it’s easier to see a Unicorn than a doctor at my surgery now

    January 24, 2026 at 5:30 am

You’re still gorgeous Bridget, and still make Apple news easy for me to deal with. It’ll be interesting to see your experience with this, esp. as out population ages.

  36. @eclipsey999

Apple (and Samsung) are working on tracking your glucose through just wearing their watches. Then you won’t have to stick those sensors on your arms. I’m sure it’ll be a paid service though.

  37. @Prence

    January 24, 2026 at 7:57 am

I will never go to an AI for medical advice. I’ll stick with my GP thank you.

  38. @Prence

    January 24, 2026 at 8:01 am

I have diabetes and I was using the Libre 3 cgm. I hated it, if you bump it, it might come off. It was good at what it did, but it was a pain more often.

  39. @MCVPhotography

    January 24, 2026 at 8:19 am

My Dexcom already does this and connects with my real person doctor.

  40. @garyjames-ij4fr

    January 24, 2026 at 8:33 am

AI is designed to give commonly accepted responses not necessarily the most accurate response. To help get better responses it has to be given a role/context. AI Doctor could be very dangerous because of this.

Biggest advantage I could see is to check in on an injury or record seasonal sickness. Like when you twist your ankle having it check in to see if it’s healing on its own over the next couple days.

It’s also good for those like cold or heat related issues. Or for example tracking when something like shortness of breath, headaces or blood in urine or bowls happened.

  47. @weekendwarrior8179

    January 24, 2026 at 1:01 pm

    Compare this to Samsung version

  48. @jonathanleach3914

    January 24, 2026 at 2:53 pm

Good film, but this is a perfect example of the inverse care law. Those who most need to improve their health in many cases have worse health and are poorer than those who are better off and already have better health. This will increase demand from the “worried well” than likely have any overall population impact.

Toys you say? Tenerife Air Disaster diorama with two Boeing 747 models?

    When AI takes over civilization, this is the video that will be replayed endlessly;
a history lesson in the underground world where humans now live.
