Tbh, I really enjoy touch screens. It’s just so much easier/natural for me to reach out and touch to highlight something or zoom in/out. I do play OSRS in a iPad Pro so I may be a bit more used to it than others. But i have the keyboard attachment I use on it for typing. Everything else I use my hands for. Mouse are only good when precision is needed

Without the pen it would be pointless

They don’t like touchscreens on laptops, but they don’t want to ignore industry trends either. And there are a ton of Windows laptops and Chromebooks that have touchscreens.

its so pointless; your only going to use the touch screen maybe once every few months.. (also it makes them thicker)

    The presenter’s dressing looks silly.

Why scarfing indoors where the temperature would be normal?

Religious? I don’t find any of her features to be attractive for her to cover it.

      You think that’s a scarf?

People aren’t clamoring for this. It’s on plenty of Windows laptops, and doesn’t really move sales. 2 years from now no one will care.

OMG that’s so hot! I can’t wait to touch my Mac! Touch it from top to bottom…of the screen!

Then in 2045 people will think apple did it first.

I’ve had a touchscreen laptop in the past. For me it was faster to just use the mouse and keyboard. I never came across a use case where I found myself wanting to use the touchscreen.

I think ipad with MacOS is better. especially the M series chip Ipads. There are so much unused power on those M series Ipads

I’ve saved $ for an Apple Laptop. I want a touch screen. I refuse to buy an Apple Laptop until Apple provides a touch screen. ( I hate IPADS’ crippled file system) and lack of support of pro programs like Logic Pro etc. Come on Apple! Get it done. Windows laptops have had this tech forever.

It’s always easier to use a mouse than a touchscreen. My work laptop is a touchscreen and I maybe have used it once it’s really annoying and not necessary

  22. Tyler Jackson

    January 13, 2023 at 5:34 pm

No need for a touchscreen on a Macbook. It’s uncomfortable to hold my arm up and just gets the screen dirty.

I think this makes them more desirable

The difference though Is that windows and Chromebooks touch screens are also a utility by allowing you to write and draw with a pen
Without pencil support, MacBooks are basically gonna be as useful as touch screens on those old windows 7 computers
