Anthropic plans to dedicate 5% of its shares to a public benefit fund, offering its own approach to sharing the potential wealth created by AI as concerns grow about AI-driven labor disruption. Bloomberg’s Mike Shepard discusses how the plan differs from proposals for a government-run fund – and from Elon Musk’s pledge to give every child in America a share of SpaceX – as technology leaders confront a broader question: who should benefit financially from the AI boom? He joins Ed Ludlow on “Bloomberg Tech.”

Though I don’t like Dario, I will trust the least if the money were to be managed by Bernie and the government.
Dario vs Bernie, Dario is the lesser evil, lol.
Seriously, people like Bernie, other than getting paid nicely over tens of years by people’s tax money,
WHAT HAS HE DONE for the people???
    The congress is just a know-nothing, do-nothing joke! 🤦🏻‍♂

Strapping flaming anchors of their failing never-profitable products around the necks of our children is not acceptable. Let SpaceEx and Anthropic fail as they deserve. They will never actually replace human labor if we don’t bail them out, their products don’t work.

The money already lost has been distributed among the American people. They want more; they want more money in their pockets, taken from the American people’s losses!

There is no risk of job losses due to AI—unless artificial intelligence were to become the CEO of OpenAI or Anthropic. However, automation may continue to advance, as seen in the banking sector with apps and ATMs; any activity that can be represented as an algorithm or a flowchart is at risk of being automated.

Much news for nothing. Anthropic pledged what 2 to 5% back to public benefit? Lose change.

Workers we don’t have to accept this vision. We can force them to the table and demand implementation of Augmentation Not Automation. Augmentation will only make the workers job easier and more efficient but it will not replace the worker. That is also a version of the future
They are acting as if Automation is the only outcome

They are preparing the public for possible gov bail-out by labeling themselves “Public good”. Those companies are operating at a loss facing competition from low cost chinese free models. so they don’t mind sharing stocks that yield negative EPS….as for Musk he earns next to nothing for the shareholders of his companies including the futur “every child in America” shareholders 😂

They just opened 60mm Trump accounts due to the auto enrollment changes. The ages he provided are the children that get a $1k donation from the government. All minors 18 and younger are eligible.

Hamilton Lane Executive Co-Chairman Erik Hirsch says much of the wealth created by the AI boom has so far accrued in the private markets, as companies stay private longer and tap increasingly deep pools of capital. With exposure to OpenAI and Anthropic through its venture and growth relationships, Hirsch discusses how investors can access private AI companies through funds, secondaries and co-investments – and why even as some of AI’s biggest names head toward IPOs, going public is no longer the default path for most technology companies. He joins Ed Ludlow on “Bloomberg Tech.”
