This “ALIGNMENT” debate is ridiculous.
A binary state machine has ABSOLUTELY no concept of good vs bad vs existence. To anthropomorphize these binary state machines as being an emerging lifeform is ridiculous. To say ALIGNMENT is a goal decades ago was ridiculous. People spend too much time exposing themselves to SCIFI concepts, content.
A better tool, an improved tool, a more expensive tool, an explosion of product liability issues related to this tool is not a life form. For me to have to make this point as an elder adult is ridiculous. It should have been absolutely clear to everyone in the beginning, when the question was asked, where was all this content coming from, lawsuits being filed some cases settled — this was a clear signal where this debate was headed.
