I’d love them to be made out of a better material that is not slippery. I cannot wear airpods pro because they just kept slipping out of my ears.

I like the open air design of the original airpods as they are good for people who get easily blocked ear canals, BUT its a pain when there is a lot of ambient noise in a location.

As a Geek Squad agent I can attest to there only really needing to be TWO primary fixes in the next version. Battery Life is a MUST, the current life is absolutely terrible compared to even low to mid priced earbuds. Also the transparency/noise-reduction modes are ALWAYS failing, so very often in the current line, they NEED to get that fixed as it is the number one problem I see people coming in with almost on a daily basis.

The main thing is improved mic quality and latency. Airpods are one of the few TWS products that deliver decent ish microphone performance. This is vital for colleague and client calls.

I’m surprised he didn’t say microphones. On calls I always hear I “sound distant” or if I’m doing anything or it’s noisier people can’t hear me -_-

  16. August 31, 2022 at 1:13 am

Lossless audio, better battery life and sound quality

I still don’t understand that stupid looking stick on the end of them where a wired headphones would have the wire coming out. If it’s going to be wireless at least make it look like it was meant to be wireless

Surviving the early days as an AI startup isn’t just about making the technology work, it’s about hiring the right people, avoiding costly mistakes, and standing out in a crowded market.

This week on Build Mode, Isabelle Johannessen sits down with Jaspar Carmichael-Jack, founder and CEO of Artisan, a fast-growing AI startup building AI employees for sales. Best known for its viral “Stop Hiring Humans” campaign, Artisan is rethinking outbound sales with AI, while still betting on hiring exceptional human talent.

In this episode, they break down what it really takes to build and scale a venture-backed AI company, from Y Combinator to rapid growth.

This conversation covers:
→ Startup hiring mistakes every founder should avoid
→ Lessons on firing, team building, and company culture in early-stage startups
→ The strategy behind bold, controversial marketing that drives growth
→ How AI is transforming sales, hiring, and the future of work
→ What founders get wrong about the necessary roles needed for a scaling startup

This conversation gets to the heart of building a startup: making the right hires early or paying for it later.

Apply to Startup Battlefield: We are looking for early-stage companies that have an MVP. So nominate a founder (or yourself): techcrunch.com/apply. Be sure to say you heard about Startup Battlefield from the Build Mode podcast.
