Astrology is a plague against real astronomy.

Isn’t it a manner of the difference between astrology and astronomy? Genuine question

    • Shadow Girl

      July 11, 2023 at 8:59 pm

@Punisher Castle Astronomy is the art and science of observing and measuring the positions and movements of the planets and stars.

Astrology is the art and science of using those positions to describe the life of an individual by looking at where the planets are relative to the earth at the time of one’s birth.

When people ask about “what sign are you?” What they are actually asking is what sign does the sun fall into in your astrological birth chart. This is because the Greeks were obsessed with the Sun, as in astrology the Sun represents intellect (speed of thought). However this is just one of countless mistakes caused by the irresponsible hubris of the Greeks. In truth the astrological sign that best represents us for example, is the sign on the rising horizon at birth, or what is referred to as one’s Ascendent. Additionally the planet that “rules” that sign is the planet that best represents us.

But those things are just the very insignificant tip of a giant and intricate iceberg. If you’re interested in experiencing real astrology, look for a “vedic astrologer” aka ancient Hindu astrology.

@Shadow GirlAstrology isn’t real science. Sorry.

    • Sorry NotSorry

@MFBlooshWouldn’t call it art, either. They’re all so vague that they could apply to anyone. Stop putting yourself in a box.
