You have to get rid of corruption in Nigeria/Africa before it will work. I mean, look at Ukraine. Total corruption. No matter how much money you dump there it gets nowhere. The people need to stand up. We need to stop protecting these elites everywhere for self preservation.

Sometimes, rejection is the way that takes us to a better place, to someone who can appreciate our worth.
_Rejection in any aspect of life, personal or professional, can be very disappointing. We feel hurt and may even see it as an end to everything. As we cannot see how things may turn out in the future, we feel we have lost the opportunity to succeed or the person we wanted to be with._
If someone rejects you, however disappointing it may be, don’t make it a reason to hold yourself back, find fault in yourself or feel incapable. Allow time to accept it, analyse if you could have done things any better, and bring changes that may help you improve. As life goes on and you meet someone who finds worth in you and opportunities that bring out the best in you, you will look back and realise that rejection was nothing but a new pathway for you.

Volunteer and none profit work is unparalleled in terms of productivity, mindset and overall abilities tbh. They are used to work on shoestring budgets and no one is there cause they have to but cause they want to. I’ve been a huge advocate of more for profit companies taking notes on best practice by big international volunteer organisations.

Banks take all their consolidated money and make large profits on the world market through investments and loans. Banks pay employees. How much are you paying the agents? I hope you’re not just telling them it’s going to increase customers for their retail business. How much training are you giving the agents? The agents will be robbed if they become known cash points. What kind of security are you providing for these “human ATMs”? I hope you’re not charging fees to the customers for withdrawals and deposits (other than fair market interest on a loan and low late fees). I hope you’re paying customers interest on their accounts. Don’t squeeze your customers. Don’t abuse your agents.

I agree. Quite the remarkable work and research. And of course debunking the age old belief that profit in a non-profit effort is some form of profiteering. Indeed if you want to be successful long term in sustainability and development profitability is a must. I hope this can be integrated into the development work in other sectors like the energy sector as mentioned. Thank you for the Ted Talk and repping ????????

if you give a rich person a large sum of money, they can afford to invest or save it because all of their basic needs are being met.
If you give a poor person a large sum of money, they will need to spend most of it to cover their basic needs before they could even consider saving or investing.
