capitol riot means a covid19 petri dish; we need another lockdown.
we have streaming and don’t need to travel or go to a commercial theater and avoid
covid19, mass shooting (gun sales doubled in 2020), police killing nonwhites like George Floyd, and exploding RVs like in
Nashville, capitol rioters bringing pipe bombs

“Freedom of speech isn’t a freedom to slander” 13:39

Oh yeah, so where was you “Anti Defamation League” when those femi nazis were trying to slander and character-assassinate Justice Kavanaugh?

In the end they all said that they had lied and smeared then-judge Kavanaugh in order to disrupt his hearing confirmation? Where was you commie organization when that was happening? Cheering for the terrorists and saying “I’m with her”?

Yelling ‘fire!’ in a crowded theatre (when there is none) is not free speech. Also, these technology firms have ARTIFICIAL PERSON status; they are not governmental entities – a fact many rightwingers, some even sympathetic towards these terrorists that emerged last week, seem shamefully unaware of (corporations are people, my friend) ????

The bans don’t apply to just Trump. 100s or even 1000s of conservative users etc are being chucked off media platforms. Parler has been destroyed. From a neutral UK perspective it seems that the US has suffered a coup driven by the left and the hi tech firms. “First they came for the conservatives and I did not speak out— Because I was not a conservative. …. Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.”.

The “private company” argument is specious. If a monopoly comms carrier can ban users, then what is there to stop, say, an electricity supplier disconnecting politically unwanted users?

Funny how the Antifa/blm riots did not get this much attention. This bold guy is a snowflake, fake.

Crusoe CEO Chase Lochmiller discusses the AI infrastructure company’s nearly $4 billion in fresh funding sending its valuation to almost $31 billion. He also discusses how it will fuel the company’s push to build AI infrastructure spanning data centers, cloud computing and managed AI services. He says Crusoe could eventually enter the public markets and pushes back against growing opposition to data centers, arguing the industry has a “marketing issue” and needs to better communicate its impact on water, jobs and local tax revenue. He joins Ed Ludlow on “Bloomberg Tech.”

He argues companies can collaborate on safety standards without suspending antitrust rules, and that existing consumer-protection and liability laws already provide tools for addressing harms caused by AI. Calls to “pace” development at the AI frontier are unlikely to translate into a slowdown in infrastructure spending, according to Sara Araghi, Franklin Templeton Portfolio Manager and Franklin Venture Partner. Calls to “pace” development at the AI frontier are unlikely to translate into a slowdown in infrastructure spending, according to Sara Araghi, Franklin Templeton Portfolio Manager and Franklin Venture Partner. She argues that even if labs temper some model training, growing inference demand will continue to require enormous amounts of compute. Araghi also discusses why heightened AI safety concerns could boost demand for cybersecurity and why she doesn’t expect the debate to derail funding or anticipated AI IPOs. She joins Ed Ludlow on “Bloomberg Tech.”
