By seeking out rejection for 100 days — from asking a stranger to borrow $100 to requesting a “burger refill” at a restaurant — Jiang desensitized himself to the pain and shame that rejection often brings and, in the process, discovered that simply asking for what you want can open up possibilities where you expect to find dead ends.

Rejection made me love a woman even more and for the rest of my life.

It’s been quite 13 years I think of her every single day, from time to time a tear drops.

My love for her only keeps stronger and stronger, she has no idea and she never will.

That’s why I respect her decision, she brought the best of me to live the best I can be.

People who annoy everyone to learn to cope with rejection bug me and the people arround me. Munich is full with idiots who seek this and most likely ask woman creepy things.

This can also be generalized to failing. Where rejection is just one kind of failing.
If you’re introverted, start off with games on hard or Legos or something to get familiar and build confidence, then move on to social interaction rejection.

The most interesting ideas often come from the most unexpected places. We searched the globe for ideas with the power to inspire, motivate and change lives — and we found them at @TEDx events around the world. If a company plants trees to offset its pollution, is that climate progress — or is it greenwashing? Critics of carbon markets say it’s the latter. But Sandeep Roy Choudhury, who’s spent two decades financing climate projects from rural cookstoves to coastal forests, says the real failure is discouraging companies from even trying. Hear his case for why we shouldn’t let perfection block meaningful action on climate change. (Recorded at TED Countdown Summit 2025 on June 17, 2025)
