    Why not DELL??

    • @policeman5768

      January 10, 2026 at 10:55 am

Because dell did not introduce anything about ai.

    So Lenovo stole Framework idea?

    • @everybody6711

      January 10, 2026 at 12:08 pm

I mean to be fair ThinkPad got popular for a reason: you could easily replace the parts. Some just need one or two screws to replace the keyboard.

    • @VincentJenks

      January 10, 2026 at 12:27 pm

Yeah, it’s great. This is the trend we need to see. We’re throwing perfectly fine, advanced technology in landfills, when we could be swapping out a part, here and there, and make it last for many years. I hope every manufacturer heads in this direction.

    • @Coralalal

      January 10, 2026 at 1:16 pm

it’s not a stolen idea if it’s for a good cause

    • @Elunduus

      January 10, 2026 at 1:41 pm

Thinkpad is based, but they cant outdo framework imo

Do consumers actually want “AI” all over the names of their products?

    • @Coralalal

as a consumer myself i do not want ai water

I’m not a Dell guy but surprised the new revived XPS is not on here. As a MacBook Pro user, Dell just out-Mac’d the MacBook. By far, the prettiest laptops at CES this year.

Deeply ironic that the go to quality comparison for any new Windows laptop is the MacBook. I’m continually reminded of the ‘90s VW Golf TV campaign ‘Just Like a Golf’. Look it up here on YT and you’ll see what I mean. 😆

    Where’s Dell?

  21. @vegaswithfreddy

    January 10, 2026 at 8:08 pm

dammit asus … I was hoping for an updated duo with the small screen right above the keyboard like before.

  22. @Davidk-r6u

    January 10, 2026 at 11:50 pm

Asus is nice but their go to market is too late, Q2. Telling people we got this great thing, but you can’t get it till mid year in your hands is a big fail. Will lose a lot of business, competition is too steep this year to be that far behind your competitors. Then you’ll be competing with the surface launch. Samsung and Dell have excellent top end options and are delivering in February.

If MSI has fixed their exploding hinges they might have something there.

in 2026 people want and need local AI. so 128gb of ram is the new default. if you dont run your own local llm then you are the product.
