Unboxing Apple’s New $549 AirPods Max 2 in Purple
At first glance, the AirPods Max 2 don’t seem like much of an upgrade from their predecessor. But when you factor in the improved noise canceling, sound quality, voice-calling performance and new features, they do seem to be about 20% better than the previous model. That may not seem like a huge difference, but it’s…

For $630, I don’t think the Scribe Colorsoft really does enough to justify its price. The footage I’ve seen of the color screen haven’t been a major improvement over the original Colorsoft or competitors like the Kobo Libra Colour. Maybe the AI makes it worth it, but if Alexa+ is anything to go by, the AI probably isn’t great, either.

I just need to see how comics/comixology look on it. That’s all I want a large color kindle for.
Edit: But 64gb might be the thing that holds me back. That’s plenty for books. Not a lot for comics.

I read into some of the design changes they made with the E display and I think it will be much better than the first color Kindle

But …. The Remarkable paper Pro is more or less at the same price and has a constant flash every time you write

If this video color is accurate, the color looks pretty bright. What do you think?

I am definitely interested in a color version of the Kindle scribe. However, two things. I would first love to see a slightly smaller version, maybe 8 in or 9 in? Also, stop trying to constantly minimize the bezel. At least, leave one side with a large enough bezel that we can hand hold it like a book without triggering page turns. My thoughts at least.

Those are still pretty gigantic bezzels

I really like the design and concept of the Kindle Color Scribe, with its small bezel all around.
However, I really, really wish it had Qi2 magnetic wireless charging and some kind of magnetic VESA functionality. I want to be able to use this type of device as a low-power, always-on family dashboard that I could easily snap magnetically onto a fridge or attach to different accessories.

I’m sure it has neat battery life and a display easier on the eyes for reading but the iPad is about half the cost and obliterated it in every singly other category. Amazon is deluded.

Amazon is on heroin if they think this device is worth $700 almost $800 if you have to pay sales tax. Like 1990 SkidRow high

Any e-reader that DOESN’T have a front light yer costs more than $200/250 is a rip-off in 2025!💯 That’s just where the technology is taking us and for Amazon to deliberately take a step back from that and deliver us such….. Dated technology?… is insane
It’s laughable😂
Edit: personally I don’t mind bezels as long as they’re not extremely wide. I find that bezels protect your screen and especially if it’s an e-reader it’s nice to have a spot to keep your thumb in between page turns. If Amazon is planning on making bezels almost non-existent or completely non-existent, then they need to bring back an easier page turn option! The last thing I want is to be tapping my screen and having fingerprints all over ALL the corners of my pages because there are no bezels!
I ALSO CAN’T BE THE ONLY ONE WHO THINKS THE PRICE IS INSANE 🤔😭🤣 Like I feel like most of these features are what most of us want….. But not at those price tags

$630 for this 🤦♂️; for the same price, you could get an IPad or an Android tablet, and you can do almost anything.
