If you ask me AI will 💀 the internet, specially social media. Whats the point of coming on the internet if you can trust something is real or not? Might as well just use an AI system or app to create what you want, whether thats videos, comments, articles or your own social media with AI bots, lol. I think legacy internet isnt gonna be as popular in 10 years

I don’t feel like AI will ever be a “terminator” like threat, but I do feel like it’ll ruin the internet in the form of malicious spam bots and trolls. Especially when all it does is consume data and spit out words at random that hopefully make sense, AI has a long way to go to reach any meaningful level of “intelligence.”

Quantum computing will change the game VERY fast. This technology will enable computers to process data and make computations literally a million times faster than the most advanced computers in use today. The technology isn’t even fundamentally in the same league, they’re not talking about this because not even many experts in computer science understand how it works but it’s being developed and making huge strides every day

i know a guy who uses it to converse with instead of talking to people… he’s been to the mental ward a few times since he’s started and won’t listen to his friends when they tell him to stop.. please do not use AI if you let it do ALL the work for you. it is incredibly dangerous. and will never not be.

It feels as if Altman’s response was that there will be slow adaptation (live testing), and from whatever happens to the user (tester) they will _respond_ to the outcome. So, it’s like he understands the danger and can repeat what the dangers are, but the question was, what are the guardrails? Another good question is, what do AI creators consider, “too far”. What are they (the creators of this software) consider “too far”?
