Trivializing tech behemoths stealing from other companies in the eyes of the public is not a good idea.

Apple already has taken a bite out of the tech

Imagine a case that holds the ring and ear pods pro as well and sells for say 300? It’s going to be a hit

  9. @SamuelSolace

The “toaster” battery idea should be brought to electric cars. Imagine a gas station where your car battery was swamped in seconds. That’s how you get the public to switch to electric vehicles.

More braindead advice for someone who thinks it’s totally cool that Microsoft has stolen every great piece of software it now sells. This is CNET.

  13. @maxziebell4013

Apple, don’t steal… you have enough money to pay a decent price.

  15. @Spiderjin

Wow Bridget, a mix of futuristic and “I need this now”! That electric ring? I can already see it in Apple’s demos with Jonathan Ive narrating in slow motion. And the phone toaster? A must for homes full of teens and tangled cables. Thanks for making me dream of the future… and crave things I didn’t know I needed!

A $450 charging toaster with $84 cases per phone. It does remind me of the two tiny backup batteries I used to carry with my old StarTac phone.

Sure, tell the trillion dollar company to steal ideas from these start up companies and run them out of business, because what does a trillion dollar company need? More money of course.

  40. @Steve-racer

Great presentation about all the nonsense and all the crap in the world that we don’t need let’s all take a minute to be less connected and not more connected. That’s the real lesson coming from an Ex Apple guy. Do we really need most of this nonsense? the answer should be obvious we don’t

  42. @andy.g22

    January 18, 2025 at 10:52 am

Bridget has to tone down her overacting and act real. Would feel more relatable that way.

  43. @Kongolox

The world would be a better place without Apple.

  44. @GlitterGuru

The ai print function better come to all browsers! Such a smart idea, from the brand that causes the most printer headaches nonetheless

    okay, those lavender coloured tho

  46. @Sted1000

    January 18, 2025 at 1:42 pm

Some of those items like the lava lamp speaker is basically already available because thats basically the JBL Pulse which has been doing that for years. As for the phone battery swopper, it makes no sense to have a case that will make your phone thicker, they are already been battery cases before and those don’t sell. Beside apple should just give the iphone better charging.

  47. @Manava2012

    January 18, 2025 at 2:40 pm

All of these are worst ideas.. There is nothing to steal.

  53. @GeraldDeBelen

Thank you for keeping us updated on the latest tech at CES2025, especially the weird phone toaster battery swapper which is something I never knew I needed or wanted lol

  57. @TecraX2

    January 19, 2025 at 5:53 am

That “Battery Toaster” seems like a terrible idea, especially given that it has never been easier and quicker to charge your phone…

  58. @jayborn922

    January 19, 2025 at 8:07 am

Does anyone know you can already remove contents of a web page, like ads, in safari and then print?

knowing apple… they would *listen to Bridget* and completely ignore her points… I think apple madd it clear that they don’t give a damn. but hey… you can try to talk to them, but they would only do something, if EU forces it.

  60. @unkown34x33

Apple and Microsoft are guilty of theft. Bill Gates and Steve Jobs visited Xerox and saw a computer running an OS with at that time was called a WIMP interface, Windows, Icons, Mouse and Pointer. Both ran back to their respective R&D departments and got to work developing their own versions of the desktop interfaces we have today. I always wondered if Xerox made a backdoor deal to receive royalties for this from both apple and Microsoft.

OpenClaw creator Peter Steinberger takes us back to the transformative moment he let his AI agent loose on the internet, igniting one of the world’s fastest-growing open-source projects. He makes a fascinating (and slightly unnerving) case that agents are a real shift, not just better versions of chatbots, and explores how they might reshape your ability to work, build and create. “The lobster is loose, and it’s not going back into the tank,” he says.
