Subpar battery, no wireless charging, no aptx for $200? Yikes

For some of us with small ears and need the wing (and have been neglected for years) the $200 is nothing. I’m buying

Wireless charging is inefficient. It should not be there.

Great review. Question the New Bose QC earbuds VS Sony Link buds fit? Which is better you didn’t mention as a competitor. My old bose sport buds are on their last legs

The new Bose QC Earbuds are good but I prefer the LinkBuds Fit. Smaller buds. Also, their voice calling performance is better. Bose does have slightly better ANC.

Are they better than the Pixel Buds Pro 2?

    • @davidcarnoy961

      October 25, 2024 at 10:49 am

@@andresoares6005 I had an issue with the Pixel Buds Pro 2’s ear tips and fit (had to add my own ear tips — I got a tight seal once I did). They’re both very good if you get a tight seal. Pixel Buds Pro 2 may sound slightly better. They are probably slightly better choice if you have a Pixel smartphone. The LinkBuds Fit did give me a slightly more secure Fit.

Also what did you dislike about the link buds open? I like open earbuds would you choose the shoks instead?

    • @davidcarnoy961

      October 24, 2024 at 2:01 pm

I liked the LinkBuds Open. Stayed in my ears well. A little more comfortable than originals. All that said, AirPods 4 are better in a lot of ways (except for the secure fit). We’ll see how price shakes out during sales but the LinkBuds Open just seem a little pricey at $200. More so than the Fit, which should also come down to around $150 when on sale.

Linkbuds open is a game changer. Won’t make your ear canal heat up like the sealed ones and you can hear around you just in case. The previous version has been my daily driver since it came out. So glad the new version is finally out!

Still using my original link buds and their open ring design i still using it everyday even though it’s battery life is suffering.

Everyone! before buying Linkbuds do some research or wait for actual people’s comments because I used to be a fan of original Linkbuds as it allowed the ambient sound to reach my ears but they had a major battery flaw. Both with Linkbuds and Linkbuds S.
Right after one year when warranty was over the battery of right earbud died/malfunctioned. Because of which the case loses all its charge. Reddit is full of such complaints and sony never addressed them.
When you get a quote from the repair centre they basically charge you the price equivalent to the new pair.
No doubt sony has one of the best microphones for calling and attending meetings but I can’t trust Sony any more.
Their customer support is also not good.

improve battery life andfirmware bugs first, Sony😅By the way, the design looks like Samsung Galaxy Earbuds too much. And there are already many better choices below $200 in the market. Sony should play catch up and raise the bar!
