I really want to see the results of a person who uses hearing aids and uploads their professional results. Because what you did was have her take the test at home and that may effect how it preforms. I want to know if it was a significant improvement using professional results or more of the same. Is there any way you can revisit that portion of the test please?

“We don’t have to lose our hearing like Beethoven”

But come on, you have to admit it super impressive.
This dude created most of his best work after becoming completely deaf.

So, let that sink in, and keep the loud noises out.

Playing piano is not really near temp. hearing loss area, look at the average power over time. But you would get ear fatigue in prolonged sessions. When evaluating hearing loss at home with these over the counter devices make sure you have clean ears and that they fit precisely in the ears on both sides equally. Then re-test over several sessions within days and make sure to equalize ears and no snuffed nose, as in a cold. Many things impact you hearing temporarily, things like allergies and sport activities.

The people in that industry must be scared. Those prescription hearing aids are a rip off.

If this hearing aid can block out the screeching noise on the London Tube they deserve a Nobel Prize

You don’t need a traditional hearing aid because of the battery. If the battery is a problem, just buy two sets of AirPods, that’s still so much less money.

Hi, I have been using my Airpods Pro as hearing aids for at least 1 year and a half…This feature is not new, by itself. I entered a proven record of my hearing capability into the App, so that my iphone can set the proper adjustments corresponding to my specific hearling loss. (I used Mimi app to record my hearing loss and get the audiogram). However it seems that some features will be new to me, e.g. conversation boost, or the media adjustment…I am really impatient to say the least to try it as I still have some difficulties to hear properly even with airpods pro2, in particular I find the sound a bit too bass nad not very clear when listening to media (like youtube). I don’t know if and in what extent my current airpods are adjusting the sounds now, coming from the media. I am very pleased to have the transparency mode which really helps me listen to the noise that my ear can not hear anymore. thanks for your video. Cheerz from Paris

Can you use this feature with official wired Apple earphones? Thanks.

This really is amazing! Even before this software update, you could already do this, but you had to rely on 3rd party hearing test app (then upload the hearing test result to iOS to adjust the hearing aid setting) and the setting was quite complex to do, I hope this update has made it much easier considering it’s all Apple now. Hearing aids are so expensive here in Australia, even entry level ones are at least $1-1.5K, and going up to more than $3K easily, Apple getting into this market is a great news for consumers!

Thank you. I got the hearing aid feature to work. I have a problem, however. I cannot get a good seal unless I install the AirPods upside down. Then I can’t reach the control on the stem properly. I have tried all 4 of the Apple tips and a set of third party tips. Any ideas?

It’s already out? My ears aren’t affected according to apple, so it won’t change any setting lol. It was L: 4db and R: 2db ‘the AirPods don’t need adjustment.’

As someone who’s been hard hearing for my entire life I have so many thoughts and questions. I’d love to try these. Like the doctor said. If you need hearing aids get actual hearing aids.

This is a really great feature. Not only for people that know they need it. But for us middle aged people that maybe don’t even realize he need assistance I think it will improve people’s lives. I waited until I was 39 to finally get glasses and I kicked myself for not doing it sooner.

I really wish people would stop saying “impact” when they mean “affect”. It is so incredibly annoying. It is a recent development in English and I believe that it is firmly rooted in the ignorance of whether to use “affect” or “effect”.

Six hours is not enough, so buy a second pair of AirPods. You’ll still save money.

Actually this feature is already with AirPods, just turn on live listen
