I’m an Apple boy, but love how you always say it as it is! ❤ Apple needs more criticism.

I think Apple should make an Apple ring that still works with Apple pay, 2FA, and tracks my steps and sleep etc. Very simple. I love my Apple Watch but I don’t like wearing it every day or at night.

I’m curious if you’ll really miss wireless earbuds, and if navigating that old iPod Mini will still be novel after the simplicity of making playlists on our phones?

I still have my old Sansa mp3 player and listening to everything loaded on it is a form of time travel. I’m determined to give a “new” iPod a whirl.

@@BridgetCarey I remember the Sansa! Some made fun of classmates for having one and not an iPod in my high school. Not that it really did anything different 😂
Enjoy the time travel! Remember to reach 88mph! 😉

I’ve personally refurbished a couple of iPod Classics and attempted to refurbish a 1st gen Nano (need a bit more practice with those). It’s fun and using my own old 30 gig Classic from time to time brings back a lot of memories

Love seeing BC with an iPod. Looking forward to hearing how it works out. It’s a solid idea – going back to a device that is simply a music player – that’s it! Plug in your headphones (no wireless here) and you are good to go. No worrying about WiFi or cellular to stream, no issues with skipping music or signing into anything to listen, no distracting notifications. Just listen. But, and this is a big but…how to manage the music? iTunes is no longer a thing. Does Apple Music even do anything like transferring music to it? So while it awesome that you can purchase refurbished iPods, the question is, is the company doing this also providing any solutions on the software side? Do we need to install a virtual machine so that we can get an old bootlegged copy of iTunes to run? Also, BC has not aged at all and is even more gorgeous now…just sayin.

Holy crap! That iPod thing is too funny. Earlier this summer I dug out my original first gen iPod video and started listening to it in my car. The nostalgia of going back to those songs from the late 90s and early 00s has been bringing back so many good memories from high school and college, the Napster years, limewire, and more. You should definitely do a video on how ipoding again works for you.

I’ve been using an ipod to disconnect and to ensure I don’t loose music.
One of the most annoying things from streaming services is when that song you like is not there anymore… it’s a bit more inconvenient than streaming but it helps me disconnect and gives me peace of mind my music library is there.
The ipod classic is the best way to go imo

I remember getting it on my iPod Touch which I still carry with me because I prefer to actually possess music. So much so that I’ve repurposed my previous phone into a media player
I am keeping faith that enough people choose to keep their music separate that the iPod makes a return

The schematics of the new Apple Watch 10 are available to the public and it’s almost identical to the current models. They have the same bands, they are just bigger.

UM yeah! Those of us who spent 20+ years building massive and expensive CD libraries and then a year or two ripping MP3’s from them haven’t given up that format. We already have the music we like. it’s already on our devices. it’s backed up in multiple places. We don’t have to pay a monthly service fee. We can rerip it again if there is ever a need. One final and most important point is that NOBODY and I mean NOBODY is going to wake up one day and decide they are pulling their content away from us.
