  29. @csuulok

I think ai should do things humans CAN’T do and not things humans CAN do

    • @akshhat

      August 23, 2024 at 7:59 am

i mean, then what’s the point of AI? robots are already quite capable of doing most things that humans can’t do (eg – huge calculations, heavy lifting, sorting algorithms etc). the advent of AI is a big thing simply because it’s good at doing things that humans CAN do but don’t want to. sure, if i put my mind to it, i can write a long email, create a todo list, plan an itinerary. but why bother when there’s AI?

i’m not commenting on whether I think this is justified or not, simply pointing out that we don’t really need AI to do things humans are bad at.

Answer 1 – … an optimistic show about tech and science and how we can use both to make the world better
Answer 2- No, I’m a journalist which means I get to talk to scientists all the time about the things that they know best … I try to better understand the context.
This understanding of her importance and role is why I follow Cleo and am excited to share this content with my child. There is so much pessimism and so many know-it-alls out there and Cleo shows how to do it right.
