Thinking on getting the amazfit or nothing watch 🤔

@deelo721  I like the nothing buds. Might need to look into their watch. The amazfit is solid. No complaints and lasts like a few weeks for me.

Amazfit is the clear winner in the under $100 class, they are always on sale on Amazon, and they’re last or older gen watches are always dipping under $100, and those watches are really great choices, far better than any of the ones presented here.

Can I show on any of them .jpg’s? On my current watch if I create a shopping list or to do list on my computer I can just send it to my watch and done with it, very easy to view and zoom. Current watch though has very low battery life and too heavy and bulky.

Amazfit Band 7 + Zepp app is legend. Not big size can wear 24/7, AMOLED Always on Display, Sleep Tracking even Nap tracking, Long battery life. Mine is from 2022. Still easy to last 5 days with all tracking on Step, Stress, SPO2, Auto Heart Rate Monitor per 1 min. Notifications alert also On. So many nice and minimalist watch faces with matching AODs. LOL Previously Mi Band fan, but mi fit app features is not great as Zepp.

She didn’t look very hard. I bought a Halo Fit Watch on Amazon for $27.00 on Amazon ($37 – $10 coupon= $27). It has all the features those have & I charge the battery once a week. Great Smartwatch @ a fantastic price!

Yo! What do you actually use your smartwatch for? How much does your watch’s ecosystem really impact things for you? If you’re a longtime smartwatch owner, I want to hear from you.

I’ve had my Apple Watch for years. I’m a software engineer and basically forced to use a MacBook. It’s very convenient to stick with Mac for most stuff (phone, tablet, AirPods).

Does the Apple watch really do anything better?

They all have the same basic activity tracking.

They all do text notifications and calendar stuff.

They’ll all control music media stuff (though my Spotify app hasn’t worked right for months).

They all do timers and alarms by voice.

Is it … unlocking my laptop without having to … touch a single fingerprint reading button for less than a second … is that the real advantage?

    • @Rinnara21

      May 27, 2024 at 5:35 pm

I used to have a Galaxy S22 ultra with the galaxy watch 5 and that combination was great. The watch had a proper WhatsApp app so I was able to initiate conversations from there, it also had a proper YouTube music app which allowed me to download songs straight to my watch and leave my phone at home.
However, I bought an iPhone 15 pro max so I had to get an Apple Watch. I use the watch for reminders daily, including adding items to the groceries list, timers, reply to text messages etc. Some things are better than the Samsung watch, others are not but I’m now so used to having a combo phone + watch that I will only consider upgrading to a different phone in the future in the watch is at least decent.

Is there any rectangular smartwatch with wear os or coming clos (for example spotify support)

  20. @vadnegru

    May 28, 2024 at 5:13 pm

Have an og Amazfit Bip with custom firmware (Bip OS) and custom app (Master). Only feature it’s missing is camera shutter, but someone might already made an applet for that. 21 days of runtime at minimum is still unbeatable by any of these 3.
