Nice vide. I don’t understand why it sometimes wasn’t registering your eye tracking?

Bro. It’s the iPad app. You’re using the iPad App.

Every limitation you’re talking about is a limitation of the iPad app.

    • @peteralfredhess

      February 8, 2024 at 11:54 am

Yeah, if you went to Adobe thinking you were seeing something new from them….. you saw the iPad app

    • @wedontexist369

      February 8, 2024 at 12:44 pm

Sure, but the immersive experience of interacting with it is very different.

    • @mLichy911

      February 8, 2024 at 1:06 pm

Ugh ya…. naw…… i’d rather use mac/screen share or whatever. Yeah ipad/iphone app is NOT the same/as good as desktop version.

      February 8, 2024 at 2:19 pm

iPad app is sufficient enough for me to use

    • @benbunch4159

      February 8, 2024 at 4:21 pm

@@Tonabillity 9 out of 10 times I am interacting with Lightroom these days I am using the iPad app. I don’t really think the experience is enhanced by waving my hands in the air. Would like to see Apple and Devs get it together on cross use for this device. For example, my iPad being a controller while I look at the photo floating in front of me huge would be very useful.

  8. @Darth_Yavin

    February 8, 2024 at 11:58 am

Nobody else noticed that this is just the iPad app? It’s not a first look at the Vision Pro app. That’s why it’s in the compatible apps.

    • @peteralfredhess

      February 8, 2024 at 12:46 pm

Yeah, I was very confused when the reviewer was acting like this was a special preview. It’s the iPad App. I guess I got the “exclusive first look” at this too when I used it on a Vision Pro last weekend 😂

  9. @groovejunky2549

    February 8, 2024 at 12:04 pm

I think most pro users will prefer to use the Vision Pro as a display for the Lightroom classic version on MacOS since having your files on a dedicated hard drive is always a faster way to work, especially if you have a large library of photos. The visionOS version of the app might be more of a peripheral use case for things like cataloging, viewing, and maybe some basic touchups, but it, like the iPad app, won’t ever be the workhorse for working professionals.

  11. @MartinStralka

    February 8, 2024 at 12:17 pm

They are discontinuing their cloud service for regular users, part of the problem is that its quite hideous and horrible experience. So I dont get why they choosed to develop cloud based app and not the classic Lightroom app.

    February 8, 2024 at 12:40 pm

Great video. Two questions-have you tried the feature of pulling a screen close and using touch like an iPad as the interface? Another reviewer found a setting in accessibility to add a visual red pointer to the eye tracking which allows you to see exactly where to pinch with crowded or small targets, have you found that helpful?

  14. @andrewinyyz

    February 8, 2024 at 12:43 pm

Looks very promising ! I’m a photographer and fully iPad LR mobile only. Hoping Apple will somehow enable a pencil for more fine tuned retouching and drawing, sketching to work on the Vision Pro.

Let’s not forget about the ENORMOUS screen size, that you will just never get on any other device.

    Apple did an amazing job.

    • @barryobrien1890

      February 9, 2024 at 10:59 am

A screen that size at only 4k resolution can’t be great for work

  25. @-OzSteve

    February 9, 2024 at 1:11 am

How colour accurate is it ? Have you compared an image edited with lightroom on AVP with the image on a calibrated, wide gamut monitor ?

  26. @barryobrien1890

    February 9, 2024 at 10:58 am

Reminds me of the firstv3d glasses that Sony released. Everyone raved about how great avatar was and purchased 3d TV’s. Now you can’t find a 3d TV anywhere. Granted thisbis the 2023 version so it’s a lot better, but I just cannot see using this with a tablet and precise masking. For people that love to work on an iPad in lr, it might be fine, but for $4k, i can’t see too many people running out for work. For apple fans it’s a great gadget if you own everything else
