      Most people don’t get that it’s an algo doing it. They think it’s a person combing through millions of tweets

      The algorithm is designed by people, modified by people, but they always try to divert blame by pointing at it.
      If someone made a self driving car that “only occasionally” ran people over the car company wouldn’t get away with the argument.. “look, I didn’t run him over it’s the software”, people would say “but you MADE the software, IT’S YOUR FAULT.”
