Got me remembering the movie Focus, and I’m starting to feel that perhaps more of the swiped portrayed are more grounded than I gave them credit for.. also, this man has such a glow to him, would greatly lighten the blow if I had been pickpocketed by him LOL!

Somebody somewhere mentioned that what he’s doing here is tougher than on the street because there are no distractions.
I’m skeptical because he has plenty of excuses to touch people here. But in public, depending on where you live, people will (almost) never touch you or talk to you.
People often claim that all it takes is bumping into someone. Yeah, if you’re one of those… special… ladies who got their phones sticking out their back pocket (I’m always SO tempted to jank it just to teach them a lesson…), sure. But if you have it buried in a pocket that maybe even has buttons, a quick bump isn’t going to do it.

Imo this all only works in a performance setting or with someone you know. In real life, myself (and probably most people), are very aware of where their watch or wallet or whatever is when a stranger starts talking to them.
Maybe I’m just more paranoid and ocd than a majority of people.

Ben, is it possible to do the tie steal in a more natural environment? This guy is letting you touch him a lot, move him around, etc, because he’s there for a photo shoot. Could you do it in an unscripted environment such as on the street or at a cocktail party?
