Bruh men have been defending women and children since the beginning of time (i.e, wars). Why do we have to defend people that aren’t our loved ones especially in the west? Men have been bashed for the last 40+ years and told that the “future is female”. Men clearly have ceded. It’s as if society wants men to be loyal dogs now. This is first time in history where men don’t necessarily have to become disposable in order to “protect, provide, etc” for everyone. Men don’t have to adhere to old societal norms anymore. If some men want to “help”, then that’s their choice. We all have many choices today. Accept the outcomes and move on. Quit it with all of the expectations, please.

    Which is it?

Three things men can do to promote gender equity.
#1 Do not compete against women in sports.

  7. MyNameIsJeff

    April 8, 2022 at 6:06 pm

Equity = Communism; and we know how well this went…

Equality on the other hand is great. Everyone should have the same starting ground and rules, but equity is literally the opposite.

Today, I don’t see how women are any more mistreated in the workplace and society than men are. All I hear is self-victimization by people who don’t want to work and think they’re entitled to anything and everything.

You talk about male privilege, but yet women or rather radical feminists want more privileges, while still keeping their current ones.

    • Kiran - The Tribute Channel

      April 8, 2022 at 8:25 pm

The world needs more people like you sir !
      Especially with your name lol

But what you said is totally right and people should know the difference between equity and equality. What feminists want is equity (giving weak people more because they are weak).

But we should start acknowledging both women’s issue and men’s issue and solve them equally.

“I’m the father of two daughters”
“I have a company, which works against sexual violence”
“I am a black male in America”

Literally, his first sentences have the sound of “I’m not racist, but …” and then something racist.

You know what’s ironic? Statistically speaking, the rate of violence against women by men are the highest in the male feminist group.

  10. Absolute Truth

    April 8, 2022 at 6:18 pm

I’m a woman and I’ll tell you….men have been MUCH more kind and nice to me than women. Women hate other women. We like to blame things on men. But the truth is that there is no real sisterhood with women. If women were genuine in helping fellow women, we would be doing much better than we are. Men help other men. Women do not. We don’t care for each other’s kids, we don’t assist each other with anything. We love to cry about being single moms so why aren’t we pulling resources to help each other? The problem isn’t men. It used to be. But now it’s mostly women hating women especially in westernized societies. In poorer countries women help each other. Here in the US we just compete with each other. My husband is fantastic friends with all the men in the neighborhood. They work on each other’s cars, help hang holiday lights, drink beer. The wives never socialize. You can not drag them out to visit with another woman. The problem is not with the men. It’s with the women.

Definitely lost me when he said we are not under attack. A lot of these issue have no reason to be divided by gender. SA happens to both men and women by men and women. The conversation always needs to be a unified one. How can WE protect each other. Stop with the gender bullshit. We need to be together. The wage gap will close with the work gap closes. Men will care more about SA victims when everyone start caring when it happens to us. We all face issues that we all won’t be able to fully understand, and that why acting like what is inbetween your legs has anything to do with compassion, with empathy, with a willingness to hear people who are suffering and want to make a change. This is not a battle of men and women, this is a battle between US and those in the ruling class with power and influence. In medicine there is more money in the treatment then there is the cure, in politics there is more money in the argument then there is the solution.

It’s crazy when you look at the comments how much men want to be talked about but refuse to even consider what women say about their experience. It’s exactly what this guy says, men have done nothing to hold themselves accountable for a history of oppression yet they expect women to come and save them and give them attention while playing victim.

    • This isn't allowed

      April 10, 2022 at 10:24 pm

@유의진 If I tell you what experience I went through you will gaslight me instead of believing women in general when they say they experience sexism.

You will tell me that didn’t happen, and if it did, it wasn’t that bad, and if it was, that’s not a big deal. And if it is, that’s not men’s fault. And if it was, they didn’t mean it. And if they did, women deserved it.

So it’s not worth talking to you, because I’ve talked to men like you in the past and that’s what they all said.

  26. James Halpern

    April 9, 2022 at 2:06 am

…yeesh, this comment section is kind of something.
    My personal belief?
Humanity as a whole is kind of messed up. Everyone, regardless of gender, has the potential to be hurtful. Does this mean one group or another deserves to be spoken over? No.
Do some men do terrible things? Yes. Do some women? Yes. Does this mean both men and women are inherently evil? No. Nobody’s born a mugger. (Hopefully, anyways.)
I’d honestly like to just not pick a side without people scolding me for inaction. I’m young, and I’d really like to grow up some more before I dip my toe into the mess that is society.

This is such a delicate topic, one missstep and people will jump on you from all sides. I was a little on the fence with the sentence “men are not endangered” as this statement is not true. BUT I agree with practially everything else the man said. It’s important to raise our children and be a better human and learn from the mistakes of our predecessors. Those in power will stay in power with their air poluting bullshit until they die, so it’s important for the next generations to be smarter… it’s up to us to make this happen now. Just a little more respectfulness towards everyone would change the world drastically.

This park would be co-managed by the Muscogee (Creek) Nation, bringing the tribal voice back to an area they were forcibly removed from 200 years ago. Revis explores the complex feelings of caring for this land and shows how it’s fostering healing in return.

Hundreds of millions of migrant workers travel within their countries to seek out means of survival — often leaving behind all they know for months or even years. Many face poverty and exploitation, and they need a robust social safety net to protect them, says migrant advocate and 2023 Audacious Project grantee Ashif Shaikh. He shares how his grassroots organization Migrants Resilience Collaborative is making life-changing benefits like social security and health care accessible to those who need them while also amplifying migrant voices — paving the way towards a world that supports the workers actually building it. (This ambitious idea is a part of the Audacious Project, TED’s initiative to inspire and fund global change.)
