Why is Biden Snubbing Tesla’s Elon Musk?

Bloomberg’s Ed Ludlow and Emily Chang talk about how President Biden talked all things EVs with GM’s Mary Barra and Ford’s Jim Farley at an event at the White House last week – but failed to mention the biggest EV maker in the world: Tesla. Elon Musk wasn’t happy about it.

Can’t blame the guy, he barely knows where he is…elon musk has done more for the American auto revival, EV leadership and manufacturing than this administration.

Biden is a one term president that will have a hard time getting his own party’s nomination in 3 years. Poor Joe, just a plan pitiful example of a leader for any country in the world. The big loser here, Americans! Don’t make the mistake that I’m just another sore Trump supporter. Nope, I am not. I am an American that can’t stay a lier not matter what party.

The US would be lucky to have Elon as president. But he would never do it there would be too much conflict of interest

    • Cory Drybrough

      February 3, 2022 at 8:24 pm

Well as he’s done more for America then anyone is history, and you can’t choose where you were born but he did make the US his home. But even if that wasn’t the case being president wouldn’t help his goals.

    • Cory Drybrough

      February 3, 2022 at 8:25 pm

He would want to increase nasas budget and be criticized for it. Because nasa awarded SpaceX money in the past.

@Cory Drybrough Ok. But all of that is irrelevant because he can’t be president

He doesn´t want that and Elon should keep doing what he does, everything else would be wasted Elon.

@Leononymous I think he enjoys making politicians look stupid. The first president to ask Elon publicly for advice will have my respect.

Bydon should be coming down hard on the old auto makers for not moving to ev. They are the ones putting all the union jobs at risk for not moving to ev, 10 yrs ago

There’s not enough material on Earth for every car to be electric. Dont forget slave labor is used to mine the materials just so you can feel good about yourself driving an electric car even though producing them creates a larger carbon footprint than gas vehicles.

The UAW was a lot of the reason why GM and Ford are late to the EV game. The UAW tried to delay the transition because EVs are simpler machines and don’t require has many workers. So less money for the UAW.

It’s more about the White House clearly going out of it’s way to credit Union OEMs for the EV revolution when they were simply against it (hesitant followers at best) Thats the line being crossed when the presidency clearly favors ‘Anybody but Tesla’ in attempting to rewrite what is history. It simply reveals that it was never about EV adoption but politics for votes.

wait for the stock to dip, buy some, sell when its high enough for you, cleanse rinse and repeat. This is just making musk and politicians richer. Waiting for a storm the rich january 6 event soon.

ofc he (biden) is leaving Tesla out as Elon Musk has stated he doesn’t need biden’s money which removes biden’s excuse to steal more money in the form of BBB (trillions)

Biden is already elected. He does not need to kiss anyone ass. He needs to do a good job. The virus does not like to be managed. He can play dumb regarding Tesla but at some point he is being dumb. Somebody once said “It’s the economy stupid”. Are you listening Joe?

Electrification needs Tesla. There’s no other way. Tesla invested billions in USA and is contributing to it’s GDP in a big way. Also it’s earning foreign exchange by exporting electric cars as well as electric power pack batteries. I am a democrat but on electrification I support Tesla.
