    Thanks for watching!

Update: since finishing this video, I’m now dealing with a flat rear tire! Still determining the parts I need to order, and how to change it myself. But what do you think? Should I make a video about it?

@Logan Moy bike shop>>>>>>>car shop anyday. What do you ride???

      June 4, 2020 at 11:36 pm

@Logan Moy edit my bad lol I didn’t notice you were the video creator. I’m jealous of that rad!!! I have a ancheer 350w(dyu f1) and ancheer 16inch. Wife and I take them out and we make it home. Over 250 miles so far so good!!! If I get the rad I’m getting the extra seat because that is a insane package. Two person bike for less than 1500. That’s a better deal than a used car now

    • Logan Moy

      June 4, 2020 at 11:58 pm

@18matts Nice! That’s a pretty good deal! And if you can use them to replace your car, even better!

Logan Moy have you looked into velofix as an option to get work done on your flat tire? For anyone not in the know, they are a mobile bike shop that comes to your house to do maintenance. Very convenient.

@gbird5000 Very cool! I do like my local bike shop a lot though, so if I find I can’t fix it myself, I’ll probably take it to them.

Bicycles make life and cities better.
Ebikes are bringing older adults back to cycling. Hills are so much easier.
Bicycles are healthy exercise, fossil fuels free transportation and great for social distancing.
Cities need to do more to encourage people to ride bicycles to work, school or for fun.
Every child should be able to ride a bicycle to school safely on protected bike lanes.

Giving out reasons why you should have gone for the smaller bike and already contemplating about upgrading soon sounds like buyer’s remorse to me.

    • Logan Moy

      June 4, 2020 at 6:57 pm

I disagree. I’m really enjoying the bike more than I expected, and just having minor regrets about features I prioritized not knowing how much I’d ride it. If anything, I have buyer’s FOMO!

    • Logan Moy

      June 4, 2020 at 8:17 pm

You should measure the inside of your car and the bike. I have a Honda Fit hatchback. The back seats lift up. All I do is remove front tire and my bike fits nicely inside my car. I do not like bike racks it attracts thieves.

What about the very valid argument of these things being expensive and super easy to steal. You can’t go anywhere with them that doesn’t have safe storage and both ends otherwise they get nicked.

    • Logan Moy

      June 5, 2020 at 1:46 pm

appolospbvxr Not that valid considering more non-electric bikes get stolen every year. Plus, e-bikes have the added security of needing a key to power on the battery, as well as being able to remove the battery on the specific one I bought. Always important to lock it up correctly though!

    • appolospbvxr

      June 6, 2020 at 10:34 am

@Logan Moy Your counter argument is using bad logic, there are less stolen because there are less e-bikes sold versus conventional push bikes due to their extra cost and being fairly new. They are still easily picked up, chains cut and shoved in the back of a van (Same as motorbikes). A e-bike still has value as a frame even with the battery and key removed, you can retro fit another battery / starting mechanism. Most key systems can be bypassed with basic electronic skills, just look at the automotive industry for that proof.

    • Logan Moy

You can do that with an e-bike. It’ll drain the battery faster, but there is a throttle.

I chose a Fuji e-traverse purchased from a local bike shop. I have ridden Fuji bikes for many years and still ride my Fuji supreme 18 speed which is almost 30 years old. I have turned my Fuji absolute into a 21 speed training bike. The traverse is a 21 speed that Fuji makes as a conventional version as well. The traverse is a crossover bike with front suspension and very comfortable seat. Ideal for city commuting, trail riding, and can be used for some mountain riding, provided the mountains aren’t too steep. The conventional version is about $750. The e-traverse is a 21 speed hub motor version. No throttle but if your used to a conventional 21 speed you will appreciate not using a throttle but having the extra gears. The things I don’t like about rear hub motors is the effect on balance and handling. But that’s the same with all rear hub motor bikes. Also look for hydralic disk brakes. Don’t buy an e-bike without them. I consider a front wheel hub drive too dangerous for me or my wife. So don’t think of a FWD conversion kit. My only problem with the Fuji e-traverse is that Ithink it’s underpowered for my likings but would be more than adaquite for urban commuting(unless you live in a very hilly city like SF) or moderate incline trail riding. Cost of the e-traverse is about $1500, or you can choose the conventional version if you want to save some dough, live on relatively flat terrain, and are in reasonable physical shape.

Beware, RadRunner rarely publish real customer reviews. I know, I’ve
submitted the following every week for six weeks…. and even gave them 4 stars.. ZZZZzzzz

We Bought two Radrunners and multiple accessories. We were surprised not any assembly
instructions. Instead watching multiple Youtube videos, that in a few
cases were not up to date or detailed enough. For instance, the video
explains handlebar assembly and makes no mention of the tiny black piece
of plastic in the hardware kit, by the time I guessed that in goes in
the goose neck hex bolt I had already misplaced the one for the first
bike. I started by installing fender kits on both bikes, one bolt was so
tight that I actually stripped the allen wrench that was provided but
found another in my personal toolkit that worked. Second came the front
racks, these both came with a black light mount that’s screw hole was
too small to accommodate the screw. The video also shows you splitting
the cables around the rack, but this didn’t seem appropriate with what
we were provided and would make the Velcro case un-usable. I also
installed the back seat assembly and shields and another rack on one
without a hitch. Lastly came the $89ea pannier bags. Larger clips were
supplied for the Radrunner, but when removing one of the four clips one
encased nut kept rotating until I removed part of the bag assembly to
hold it. The entire project took me (a retired shipyard worker) about
    five hours.
Our first ride! The bikes showed four lights on the
handlebar monitor, so I assumed they were fully charged. We rode about a
mile and returned, then I loaded up my 70lbs grandson and went two
miles down the road. On the next mile the gauge dropped to two lights
and the bike started to roll to a stop. I shut the bike off and walked 2
miles while I called my wife to bring me her battery. Before she
arrived, I turned the bike back on (four lights) and it worked. When she
arrived, she took the grandson and gave me the battery. Subsequently I
rode the bike about 4 miles (solo) back home using the pedals some to
maintain my 15mph. Finally exchanged batteries and took the grandkid for
another mile-long ride. The batteries have been charging since we left
the beach, so it will be interesting see how they hold up after a real
charge. BTW I weigh in at 225 and on all flat surfaces I’m considering
buying a spare battery, but I’ll make up my mind after my next ride
    (next month).

Interesting video. I have a Rad City and I love it. I’ve been commuting on it for the last six months and I’ve put over 1400 miles on it. Oddly enough, the derailleur hanger was bent when mine arrive and Rad hooked me up just like they did you with a new derailleur, hanger and reimbursement for the repair at the bike shop. They make great products and I recommend them to anyone.

Excellent video! You described every decision I had to make prior to deciding on a RadRover and a Radrunner for my wife. No regrets! I have almost 700 miles on my Rover and I haven’t even gotten out of town to a trail yet! We’ve both had hip replacements and the ebike allows us to exercise and stay outside more. Not to mention it kept me sane during the two months I stayed home from work during the Covid
lockdown. I still got plenty of exercise and kept away from people.

I agree that spending a bit more on the ebike is the way to go. you will notice the difference dollar per dollar that you spend on top of the cheapest one. you can find some cheap haibikes out there and there is no better than haibike in my opinion.
