    there goes the trucking jobs….

      Trucking is more difficult. They can’t even properly do autonomic diving for normal cars.

      Unlikely I think – at least anytime soon. These trucks will be semi autonomous, capable of autonomous driving on highways I guess. But requiring human control in many other situations.

      Trucking is the easiest part of autonomy, cities are more complex

      It’s difficult to see a truck performing a cross country route without at least some human intervention at some point of the journey. At least for the foreseebale future. Possibly because of complex road situations, or inclement weather conditions or maybe something else.

    This is the beginning if the end of the trucking industry. Overall, trucking us already very safe. This is about cutting jobs and saving money.
